Varicose Veins/Spider Veins From Pregnancy Gone! - Pasadena, CA
ORIGINAL POST
I had 2 children before coming back to New Body...
WORTH IT$600
I had 2 children before coming back to New Body Cosmetic Surgery again in 2/2016 (please see my other reviews on 4 other procedures performed by Dr. Yoho), & with my pregnancies came varicose vein/spider vein problems like I had never experienced before. I had spoken with a couple of vascular clinics here in Scottsdale, Arizona, regarding this problem prior to taking the flight to California to see my favorite doctor again. These vascular surgeons quoted me thousands to fix my problem & that only after I jumped through several hoops. They wanted me to come in for a consultation, get an ultrasound of my legs, & wear a compression garment for 3 months before even trying any treatment. NOT Dr. Yoho! NO - he not only improved the appearance of my legs for MUCH LESS with a few injections, but he did it then & there. No ultrasound needed, no compression garment purchase required, no 3-month wait, & once again an exemplary result!

You're results are amazing!!! I'm in Phoenix too and have had unsuccessful results with a vein clinic here. I really hate the compression hose...did you have to wear the hose after your treatment?

No, I didn't need to at all! I was so surprised too. I thought perhaps I wouldn't even be able to fly home after receiving the injections so I asked Dr. Yoho if I would need to rent a car and drive back to Arizona rather than fly.
I also inquired as to whether or not I needed to refrain from exercise for a while or what restrictions I had. Much to my surprise, my husband and I were able to take a Southwest flight home the same night. I had no restrictions on exercise though I was a bit sore for a couple of days and didn't want to engage in any major exercise anyway so I kind of just took things at my own pace as I healed. I highly encourage you to meet with Dr. Yoho. His technique works!
It is well worth the hour + flight into Burbank or the few hours it takes to drive out to Pasadena. He is an amazing person, a stellar surgeon, and he will likely save you a lot of money. His wife, Judy, is a nurse there at New Body Cosmetic Surgery and she is kind, caring, and a gem of a person as well.
I don't know if you've had a chance to read my other reviews, but I've been Dr. Yoho's patient since I was 25 (for the last 11 years) and he has performed 5 procedures on me including 2 breast augmentations, liposuction, C02 fractional laser skin resurfacing, and this one. The most recent one was the 2nd breast augmentation which I just had earlier this month on 05/05/16 since I just finished breast feeding my newest son in Jan.
You want a great surgeon with a skilled hand, experience, and the ability to keep you safe on the off chance that something does go wrong. Dr. Yoho is all of those things and more. I can promise you that when you visit you will feel special & you will feel valued as an individual.
Good luck to you in your journey! I can't wait to see future pictures of your fantastic results.

Katherine

Can you describe the procedure, name, was it painful etc?

May 31, 2016
I believe it was called a foam vein injection treatment. You can learn more about it on his website www.dryoho.com or call their toll free number (for either of his 2 offices): 800 804 5476. Dr. Yoho mixes the solution he injects you with right there in front of you which is fascinating to watch. It is safer and more effective from what I understand than some other techniques and solutions. I wouldn't say that, "it hurt." It did sting a little bit. I would say it's comparable to the discomfort you have when you get Botox or fillers. It was well worth the discomfort for the results. Actually, it was more the soreness afterwards that bothered me for a couple of days which also wasn't bad AT ALL than the discomfort of the treatment itself that I would say was the most displeasurable part. Honestly, I WAS nervous and may not have taken a chance with my time and money on something so new and on the verge of medical technology EXCEPT that I have been Dr. Yoho's patient for 11 years, and he had done my liposuction (2005) which STILL looks great even so many years later, 2 breast augmentations (01/2008 and 05/05/2016), & a laser skin resurfacing treatment (2011) for me in addition to this. I trust him with all my heart, and I KNEW he wouldn't take my money if he did not feel it was going to work. I KNEW I would get great results NO QUESTION! Keep in mind, I am not totally vein free, but he told me I could expect probably a 75% improvement, and I think it's more like 90% improvement. That's Dr. Yoho for you. He under-promised and over-delivered. :-) He's an amazing doctor and stellar surgeon. I also feel it's as much about the technique of the person doing the injecting as it is about the solution used. Based on past experience at another medspa, I honestly doubt I would have gotten the same results if someone else had done the injecting. I went to Monarch Medspa (no longer in business) back in 2003/2004 in Phoenix, and I asked them to inject this stubborn little spider vein in my nose that bothered me. The doctor wasn't the one who injected me - it happened to be a nurse. It did nothing, & I went back 4 or 5 times because they said it could take multiple treatments. They said it was a stubborn vein. It never even slightly improved. I'm only bringing this up to share that I know how frustrating it can be to spend lots of time and money & still get no results. It's so disheartening. I highly encourage you to visit Dr. Yoho if you are plagued by vein issues or have any other cosmetic surgery questions or concerns. He has honestly changed my life. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true. Though I have tried, I have no way of expressing to him the true magnitude of the way he has affected my life as it has touched me so greatly on so many levels that I'd likely breakdown in tears with any verbal attempt at such an expression of gratitude. Dr. Yoho has offices in Pasadena, CA, and near Fresno, CA, but even if you need to fly in from out-of state to see him as I do, it is well worth it as you may find you leave a different person than you came, emotionally, psychologically, and of course physically. You may look at the world differently after you've been to New Body, with a new kind of confidence like you never thought possible. Both their process and their people are truly amazing. I wish you love, light, & beauty in your journey. I'd love to stay in touch to see your results if you do receive treatment with my doctor or elsewhere.
Sincerely,
Katherine S. (Scottsdale, AZ)

I think I'd prefer the injection type of procedure, I did the laser and some of the spider veins disappeared, some came back and some got burned and now I have hyperpigmentation instead of spider veins:/
I will look for good doctor locally, thank you so much for all the details:)

Glad to help! What part of the country are you in if you don't mind my asking? My husband's father is a doctor, & we have many friends in this field. Maybe we know someone in your area who is good and uses this technique so sorry about the burning/hyperpigmentation that occurred. :'(
I know u will find someone great! Never give up! :-)

I live in Seattle area, if you know anyone good here I'd love to know:) Thank you!

Oh - okay! I will ask around. My cousin's husband works for Boeing, and she lives in Redmond. Maybe she has some contacts as well. Love Seattle!!! I have been to visit and toured the "Underground" as well as seen the Ballard Locks, etc. GREAT CITY!
Also took a trip up with my younger brother many years ago because he was considering attending DigiPen. He ended up at Arizona State University as did I, but I sure didn't mind taking another trip up to Redmond/Seattle to check it out. ;-)
My husband also has a cousin in Bellingham, WA. Do you remember the I-5 Skagit River Bridge collapse that occurred on May 23, 2013? Well, my husband, my newborn baby, and I happened to be ON the bridge when it collapsed! It was probably the scariest event of my life. We were driving from the Seattle airport to Bellingham for his cousin's wedding that day. Luckily, we were on the 1st portion of the bridge (prior to of the part of the bridge where the break occurred), and we were ultimately able to back off the bridge in our vehicle, but there were still fears among those of us stuck in our vehicles that at any moment there was a possibility that the entire bridge could collapse beneath us. Our 1st son was only 3 months old at the time, and BOY - DID I EVER want to just jump out of that car w/ my baby and start running the other direction off that bridge. I have NEVER had an instinctive urge to do something that was so strong in my life. There were law enforcement officers on the bridge though that were advising against that trying to avoid creating mass hysteria I suppose. Anyhow - what an experience!
Will get back to you if/when I get any recommendations from family/friends in Seattle. <3

Hi Kate, Your legs look so great! I am happy for you. Just wondering if you know a doctor in the NYC area. I've had really horrible spider veins since I'm a young woman in my early 20's and haven't worn dresses, shorts or even cropped pants in over 30 years. I am getting old but as pitiful as it may sound, I still keep a "hope chest" with a few dresses and skirts that I've never worn and just can't wear because my legs are so brutally ugly. It's so embarassing when people at work ask why I never wear dresses. I'm really ashamed! I tried sclerotherapy many times, the most recent being 15 years ago but my legs just got worse with more spider veins popping up after many, many treatments and so I gave up. If there was a good doctor in the NYC area, I'd give it one last shot. Many thanks and blessings to you and your family.

Hi Babette,
Thank you so much for the compliment and for reaching out to me. You know, my cosmetic surgeon gets around. He travels the country for meetings and conferences. I'm pretty sure that he knows people in Chicago, but I'm not certain about New York. I will ask him, and get back to you as soon as possible.
I will try to go online and see if I can find doctors in NYC offering this kind of foam injection treatment that I had, but I do think the success of the treatment does depend greatly on the person doing the injecting.
I am so sorry to hear about the poor results of the sclerotherapy. I know how you feel about not getting the results you expected and were so eagerly hoping for. That happened to me with a small area on my nose with spider veins that I had injected in the early to mid 2000s at a med-spa that's since gone out of business. It was just more and more and more money - NO RESULTS. WHAT FRUSTRATION. It's maddening.
I also know what you mean about the hope chest. In my case, I had a bunch of clothes of smaller sizes that I kept in my closet hoping to one day fit in them. I finally did after my liposuction. :-)
I encourage you to please not give up hope just yet as your last treatment was so long ago that the technology available has come a very long way. I think you'll be impressed with the results someone like my doctor could give you today. To bad we can't just teleport you to California or something. Hahaha . . . Anyway, hang in there, and I will get back with you shortly.
Wishing you love, light, and blessings,
Kate

Babette - I sent u a private msg. I just wanted to be sure you received it.

It's great that you were able to fix your problem aesthetically and have the outcome you wanted, but the underlying problem you have is venous insufficiency and that is where ultrasound and compression garments come into play. Venous reflux, valve insufficiency and venous stasis are all problems that can lead to blood clotting. Your results are beautiful but just hoping everyone reading gets the facts of their individual vascular insufficiency before doing these ablations for cosmetic reasons.

Before and After Photos
Having my varicose vein injections was not the most comfortable process, and it did sting a little bit, but what marvelous results. Go see Dr. Yoho! This solution works! I promise! My before pictures are from when I was still pregnant. Unfortunately I didn't think to take any immediately preceding my injections. After I gave birth, the veins had calmed down, but they still were very much present and bothered me a great deal. I did not want to wear shorts or a swimsuit until after Dr. Yoho worked his magic. I have only received 1 vein injection treatment from Dr. Yoho so far. Keep in mind that every case is different and sometimes more than one treatment may be necessary to get results you will love.

Where is Dr. Yoho located? I have terrible various veins. I've tried several treatments and spent a lot of money, nothing has worked. Your results are great.

Pasadena as well as a 2nd office near Fresno. Please call or go to www.dryoho.com to learn more about Dr. Yoho's process. I'm so sorry to hear about your lack of results. That can be so disheartening. Dr. Yoho will in all likelihood be able to at long last get you the results you have been looking for, and if he doesn't think you are a good candidate for the procedure/does not think he can likely help you, he will be honest and let you know that up front as well. In my case for example, he told me I could likely expect a 75% improvement. :-)

I see that you show picture of dfferent feet before and after, were they both so dark before?

May 31, 2016
Yes, you are right. :-) After you mentioned that, I was looking through my phone & my old pictures to try to find a picture of my left foot before. I find that odd too. I could only find before pics of the right. Do you want me to e-mail you a photo of my right ankle after? Yes, as I recall they were both pretty much equally dark. I would be happy to do so. Yes, as I recall they were both pretty much equally dark.

Ooopps . . . just realized I said that twice. LOL! I wish Real Self allowed one to go back and edit comments. You really need to be sure you get it right the 1st time. This annoys me because I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist. Anyway, I was thinking, I'll just post a pic of my "after" right ankle in an update so you can see it has also significantly improved. :-)

Photos of "After" on Right Ankle (Had Inadvertently Only Posted Left Side "After" Photo of Ankle in Original Post)
Adding additional photos of my right ankle after vein treatment procedure. I just took these two photos 5 minutes ago because someone commented and happened to notice that my before ankle photo was of my right ankle and my after photo of my left. I'm pretty detail oriented most of the time so I apologize for this oversight. I am posting these after photos of the right side so that you can see I did have an equal improvement in both ankles. :-)

Beautifully done!

May 31, 2016
Thank you! I agree. I was really shocked. I honestly didn't know if they would ever go away and thought I may have lost my old legs forever. Thank you Lord. & thank you Dr. Yoho. ;-)
June 20, 2016
Looks Great! How much did that cost you? Did insurance cover it?

August 11, 2016
$600 - insurance did not cover since it was cosmetic/not medical
July 26, 2016
I just saw your post and am amazed at the results. I too suffer from unsightly spider veins that I have had many different procedures for over the years to no avail. The ones on your ankles were quite severe...my question is did you actually get that extreme improvement in only ONE treatment?

August 11, 2016
One treatment! That's all it took. This man is a miracle worker. Honest doctor, more than reasonable pricing, safe technique, & great results. If you go, let him know you saw Katherine Stewart's results on RealSelf! ;-) Much luck to u!

August 11, 2016
Roxy1992 - Absolutely! Those results are from one treatment of foam vein injection therapy at Dr. Yoho's office. It was 2/17/16 when I had the treatment done, & my legs still look terrific.
Starbright - The cost varies a bit depending on how many injections are needed. I was told in my case it would be between $400 & $600 depending upon how much was needed. It ended up being $600. :-) Insurance did not cover it because my issue was cosmetic-not medical.
