Scar Repair

I am a 55 year old woman who had 2 C-sections and after 20 years the scar tissue was very thick and had started to roll inward. I enjoy working out and am in good shape but it didn't matter how much core/abdominal work I did I couldn't make a difference on the scar. At first my husband thought I was being ridiculous because no one really sees the scar. But after I explained how much it bothered me, he was totally on board. Before the surgery the scar was about a 1/4 of an inch thick and about 8 inches long and very thick and hard with scar tissue. After about 7 weeks, the scar is less than a 1/8 of an inch thick and about 10 inches long but it is completely flat now. My recovery went very well. My pain level was very low (about a 3 on a scale of 10). I never took any pain meds other than Advil. At a month from surgery I was back to doing cardio and now almost 7 weeks out I am back to hitting the weights and my normal high intensity workouts.
