From a Tree Trunk Waist to an Hourglass Figure!
ORIGINAL POST
I traveled to Dr. Yoho's Pasadena office...
WORTH IT$4,200
I traveled to Dr. Yoho's Pasadena office requesting liposuction of the waist, thighs, rear, etc. The waist was particularly important to me as my 1st boyfriend whom I'd been with for 9 years had always told me I'd had a "tree trunk" shaped waist. Though we'd parted ways a year prior to that, those words had stayed with me, & I did think I could benefit from a more "hourglass," feminine figure.
The technique used by Dr. Yoho was not nearly as painful as I expected. I did wear my compression garment following surgery for the length of time I was directed to do so. I did not need to take a significant amount of pain medication nor did I need to take many days off work. It was really incredible! I expected to be "down for the count" so to speak.
The liposuction results were amazing. It was true - like magic - Dr. Yoho had done it. Like the title of his book (which I had purchased and read a year or two prior to my procedure), I had A NEW BODY IN ONE DAY. 11 years later, the body contouring he performed has lasted and remains fantastic. I highly recommend Dr. Yoho to anyone considering a liposuction procedure.

Hi,
Did you have Smart Lipo or the traditional one? How long did you wear your garment? Did you have total anesthesia? Thank you and have a fast recovery!

I just looked on his website, and Dr. Yoho does offer this "Smartlipo." I appreciate the question because I honestly had never heard of this before. I may be dating myself, but I don't believe that type of technology was available back in 2005 when I had my surgery. I had tumescent liposuction. The tumescent anesthesia has the dual effect of numbing the area treated and limiting bleeding and bruising. They also gave me some medication through my iv to put me into such a relaxed state that I have no memory of the procedure. It was wonderful. It really wasn't too painful a recovery either. I did still have significant bruising for a while but it looked worse than it hurt. I think I wore my compression garment for about 6 weeks, but I don't think I HAD to wear it 24/7 for that long by doctor's orders. I was just REALLY wanting to be sure I got THE best results possible. I hope this helps. I didn't keep any before photos, but I really want to post some to help others now that I know about Real Self so I am going to see if my parents have any photos from my procedure or before photos I can share. I highly recommend Dr. Robert Yoho. He has offices in both the LA area and the Fresno area. www.DrYoho.com or 800 804 5476. I fly in from out of state to see him, and he just did a breast augmentation for me earlier this month. I would have a difficult time trusting anyone else with my body. He is absolutely fantastic! Good luck in your journey! Please keep me posted. :-)

Thank you for your response, I will keep you informed. I went to dr. Yoho web site and it says he is a Cosmetic surgeon, he is not a Plastic surgeon, right? Thank you for your testimony because I would have never thought of going to a Cosmetic surgeon unless I know somebody that had surgery with him. Thank you again.

P.S. (By mentioning the case of that death in FL, I just meant that I felt terrible for the poor woman and her young family, but I breathed a sigh of relief in knowing that I once again had made that right decision with my health and safety by choosing Dr. Yoho)

No problem. Cosmetic surgery focuses on enhancing appearance and plastic surgery focuses on repairing defects to reconstruct a normal function & appearance from what I understand based on what I have read. I did find the section on line I was referring to, and I previously posted a lengthy comment here regarding what I actually did find regarding the difference between plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery. Unfortunately, no third party links are allowed on Real Self so admin deleted my comment (I was unaware of this rule as I am new to their "community" and did not admittedly did not study their "community guidelines" extensively enough prior to joining.)
I encourage you to check out the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery's website for more details regarding the differences between the two, the differences in the scope of training between cosmetic and plastic surgeons, etc. :-)

I am new to Real Self, and I just realized I did not have any photos of the results from the back in my original post. I am adding those along with a couple of additional swimsuit photos. Dr. Yoho also performed my breast augmentation so please see my other review regarding that procedure to learn about the process and those fantastic results.

Your results are inspiring! I should get going on the kettlebell flicks!

Haha! Thank you. Yes, those kettle bell flicks are amazing! Great doctor, right? I don't know any other cosmetic surgeons that also give complimentary work-out and nutrition tips. ;-)
