Im super happy that I finally decided to remove my implants. I have hated them pretty much since the day I got them. Not becasue I had any issues ( hardening, etc) with them but more because I felt like I was very top heavy and it really limited the clothing I could wear.
I had my first set of implants in 2006 and they were 300cc silicone and then in about 2009 I had really wanted them out but the plastic surgeon convinced me to keep them but downsize to a 200CC implant. Flash forward 4 years later and I finally decided that Im not going to let anyone talk me out of it... I want my own natural breast and I want to be smaller... So I did it! :)

Can you post photos please? I want implant removal with lift as well and trying to find as many examples as I can to get an idea of what to expect. Many lifts I see are not post implant. Thank you and I hope you are doing wonderfully!! :)

insane itching

I am itching like crazy!! Nothing is bringing relief. Ive tried every topical ointment. I find myself scratching at my breast in public with no shame to find some relief. The only thing that keeps me from scratching is ice packs.
Anyone else experience this?? When does it go away? Im at 10 days postop.

Ice works but so does Benadryl. I itched insanely from about day 10 to 2.5 weeks

Wow your breasts are still really big after explant! Congratulations! You look beautiful!

The camera is making them look big... but they are probably a C right now and still swollen. The before pic I was a DD. My implants were super small thats why there was no point in keeping them especially since I have breast tissue. Lets see how I feel once the swelling goes down. ;)

Yea, it does seem pointless to have them then. I'm happy for you they do look great. By the time you heal it probably won't even look like you ever had them! :)

Wow, you look great! what a brave decision! have had 210 mp filled to 240cc for less that a year, and I too almost immediately regretted it. I should have just stuck with getting the lift alone. The longer I have them the more I get nervous about removal. That I will have wishes I went with a smaller low profile implant and that I will feel like I have an empty upper pole. Is your before pic the 200 cc and do you mind sharing the rest of your stats? I too feel very top heavy and self conscious as well. My ps just keeps telling me what a small implant it is. Any advice is welcome.

Aww thanks :) I am 5'5 150 lbs ( trying to lose a few ;/ ) and my implants were 200 CC mod profile under the muscle. I was a 34DD with implants and now im not sure what I am since Im just wearing sports bras. Before I ever got implants I was a 34B/C

Thanks so much for your reply. I am 5'1 and 110 and was about the same before implants. It's hard to find people you have had such small implants. This helpse a lot. Having the implants distorts you mind much, it's hard to remember what you looked/felt like before.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience so far! Sorry about the itching. Itchiness is a horrible sensation. Have you asked your doctor about the itching? He might be able to prescribe something that could help.

Hi, I am 5 days post op and I too have the itching! I think it was from the sterile solution they put on my body during surgery since the itchy rash was only where that stuff was put on. Hydrocortisone cream helped me and taking showers. The doctor also thought maybe it was from the antibiotics. Who knows! You look great btw!

Aww thanks... Ill ask my doctor what he thinks is causing it. I see him tomorrow. I had steri strips on but have since removed them and washed and im still itching. I didnt think it was the steristrips anyways cause Ive had surgery in the past and used them and I was fine. It must just be the healing... But its driving me CRAZY!! :D

You look great! What size were you before implants? You're still very "full". I'm so worried that I'll be flat as a board when removing mine.

Im actually suprised at how big they still are... But Im still swollen and I didnt have drains so there is a good chance I have a lot of fluid still in there... Im guessing. :/ Prior to getting implants I was a 34 B/C. Then I got implants ( Very small 200cc) to add to the shape and I gained a good 30 pounds and ended up a 34 DD. Now Im not sure what size I am. What size are your implants now? Breast size before? Why do you want to remove them?

You look wonderful! I can't imagine you even needed implants in the first place. When I had my second surgery with the lift, I had insane itching. It was four years ago and I don't remember what he told me to put on it unfortunately. He did give me some kind of cream though. However, then some of my sutures started "spitting" out of the incision on the sides of my breasts. He said I was probably allergic to the vicryl sutures. Unfortunately for me, the itching of the scars has not gone away completely still after all these years but it's just the sides of my breasts. I hope yours goes away, I know how it is to try to scratch in public (lol). Good luck with your recovery, you look amazing

omg... I will die if Im still itching in years to come. The itching has slowed down some so Im optimistic. I got implants because my breast were not round. But ultimately they got bigger and bigger... So I really should have probably just gotten a lift. But at the time I didnt want the scars.

You have one of the best results i have seen here so far, great shape !! Really pretty ! Against the itching i used Cetridizin, it is an antiallergic medicine in tablet form. Here in germany you can buy it without prescription. Maybe you have something similar you can get?

Wow, I just read your whole story...What a great decision you made for yourself. You look wonderful. I am taking the Arnica as well, not the Bromelin though. That medicine we have here-called Zyrtec , an antihistamine and it's over the counter. Thanks for the advice. I wish you a great recovery. Loved the notes from your kids!

Thanks so much!... I shall look for it. Its probably like benadryl? Did it cause you any drowsiness?
February 1, 2014
Hm i know that it can make you tired sometimes but i didn't experience that
February 2, 2014
you can get allegra that will not cause drowsiness, zyrtec may

Try using some Benadryl cream or hydrocortisone. Not in the incision but next to it. That helped me with mine when I had the itchies.
