I got my first breast implants 16 years ago when...
My first set of implants were wonderful and I had no problems at all. I am a 4-time marathon runner, a 9-time half-marathon runner, and a personal trainer who bounces all over the place. Despite having 34D's I simply used 2 tight sports bras over the years to make sure my breasts stayed perky and beautiful. NEVER GO WITHOUT A BRA AFTER YOUR IMPLANT SURGERY. Women make this mistake all the time and it's the fastest way to ruin your boobs. Girl, you got boobs, you didn't stop gravity!! Your implants may stay up over time but your natural boobs are going to sag, leading to a drooping nipple. Ew.
Okay so now it's been 3 weeks since switching from saline to gel and OH MY GOD is there a huge difference. I liked my boobs before but now, I'm absolutely stunned at how much more natural they feel, like real breast tissue. It's incredible!
Each day I feel my new implants the difference in softness compared to a saline implant blows my mind. In addition to the aesthetic improvements (lowered implants, size increase, greater cleavage improvement, nipples higher this squishy softness makes me so excited!!
Flat Spot
There is a slight flat spot on the inner left breast where Dr. Taylor did not aquequately cut away at the pectoral muscle during the portion of the surgery meant to achieve greater cleavage. It’s only distinct when I press my implants together, the way one might do to make cleavage, but of course I brought it up during my follow-up appointment. After a few more weeks of healing he wants me to massage that implant inward in hope that the muscle will “give” a bit more and the implant can “round” out the flat spot.
Additionally, there is some left implant top rippling that is very slightly visible but at only 12 days post-surgery with a lot of settling yet to occur, Dr. Taylor says many things visible now will ‘fluff’ away as the implants settle, my pectoral muscles heal, and my massaging regimen combine to produce the final effect some time in 4-6 weeks. Overall my boobs are so beautiful that these are but minor concerns.

Provider Review
I've been with Dr. Taylor for 16 years, first for my saline implants and second for my cohesive gel implants. He is one of the best in this area and I would never trust my body to anyone else. NOTE: Dr. Taylor did my first augmentation 16 years ago when I was 22 years old and only saline was available. They turned out beautifully and I had not problems. This review is for my 2nd surgery 16 years later and this time I am using Allergan Natural cohesive gels. This is my story for augmentation #2.******** Surgery Day: After being given a traditional hospital gown I was provided with a Xanax to quell my nerves. A revision breast aug is often done while awake, unlike the first time you get boobs and need to be put under general anesthesia. 20 minutes later Dr. Taylor gave me a shot of Demerol intramuscularly in my shoulder and that is when I began to feel very woozy. Like 5 vodka martinis’ woozy. Once the staff is satisfied I am sufficiently “buzzed”, as Dr. Taylor refers to it as I am taken into the operating suite. Sharon, the scrub nurse, welcomes me in, has me lay down on the gurney, and then begins to sterilize by chest area with Betaine solution. At this point I’m very woozy but not so much that I’m not completely aware of my situation. Dr. Taylor begins by injecting local anesthetic into my old BA scars, located beneath my breasts in the crease. He also injects all the way around the breasts on the outside so that no pain will be felt. The old scars are cut, the saline implants (which I’ve had for 16 years) are removed. I felt pressure, but it wasn’t horrible regarding pain. The goal of my surgery was to so half a cup size bigger, from D to D.5. I didn’t want DD as this is hundreds more CC’s and I’m not interested in being freaky looking or losing my edge as an athlete. Even more than wanting a slightly bigger implant my *main goal* was to have my natural cleavage pushed closer together. This required some internal cutting of the pectoral muscle and stitching and what is hurting right now as I type this. Dr. Taylor wants my boobs to drop so during week one of healing I don’t have to wear the compression bra that many women are required to wear day and night for the first 2 weeks. The inner cutting of the scar tissue (which forms around the pocket the implant lives in) is what hurts the most right now, 5 hours later. The size? I ADORE THEM. Not a whole cup size bigger but definitely improved. I now have cleavage that didn’t exist previously without bras smooshing my boobs together. Day 3: Today I could take a shower and have notice rippling on my left implant on the side, which is very disappointing. It was my understanding that silicone implants do not ripple, but after further investigation on sites such as Real Self.com it turns out that silicone implants produce LESS rippling than saline, not NONE. I have been taking Extra Strength Tylenol and so far, have not found the healing to be painful at all. Today is Saturday and I wearing my bra most of the day yesterday, despite being instructed not to. My surgery included Dr. Taylor lowering my implants a bit and gravity (with no bra) is meant to allow the boobs to settle into their new, lower placement. Day 4: Yesterday I took a half-hour walk. I am walking much more easily and no longer doing the post-surgery stiffness shuffle.
