Long Dream went wrong

When things go bad

Hello guys, I haven't posted here for a very long time. Was very upset, and not in the mood. Now I need to start moving. I wanted to ask if someone been in the situation like mine, and if someone can recommend a very good attorney in South Florida area. I will be going and changing my post about the doctor who did my surgery, and will tell everyone to stay away from him as far as possible.
Not very long time after my original surgery my left breast start severely going under my armpit, and apparently it happened because sack which holds the implant is ruptured. So, when I went to the clinic and showed them my problem, they told me that they can correct that. At the same time I decided that since I will be going under anesthesia anyway, I wanted to change my implants for a higher profile and slightly bigger. That's another thing, that doctor never even recommend me a correct implant for my body structure. With my first set of implants I looked like an undeveloped teenager. I always had large breasts and wanted to save the same cup size, and he did, but the profile was so shallow that it looked smaller. So I decided (after my own research) that I need taller implants that they would actually show. So they showed me a bill, which was higher than I originally paid, and when I asked why is such a big difference, they told me because when implants gets changed there is a lot of cleaning involved, blah, blah, blah. I agreed and paid for my second surgery, which MAIN reason was actually to fix my sack where implant goes. After about a week post surgery, I developed the same problem, but this time way worse. First of all since implant was bigger, problem was bigger as well. When I came to complain, Doctor said that it is my body's fault, my muscles are pushing implant out (really?!) But then he also said that I should wear underwire bra for about a month to three months and the sack should grow back together (again - really?!) Also when I asked him what are we going to do if it wouldn't grow back together? I can't live with the boob under my armpit. He said that he will not do another surgery, because it wouldn't fix it. Of course I was crushed, and also because after several months it didn't happened no matter how hard I tried. I was wearing bra 24/7, I was using K-Tape, which gave me crazy rash with blisters and it was so painful that even when the clothes were touching it, it was a horror. I healed, and by then decided to go and look for the second opinion from other doctors. And how surprised I was, when I find out that my doctor didn't do what he was supposed to do - very simple - he had to put a mesh! And preferably on both sides, because if sack raptured on one side it can do it again on the other. But mesh cost about $1,500/piece, so of'course he didn't even mention that option to me. After being seen by 2 independent doctors, I knew what happened and what needs to be done. Now the questions is - of'course - money. I need to get my money back somehow from that incompetent doctor, but the attorney I was referred to is no longer taking cases for plastic surgeries. I don't really want to go into yellow pages and pick anyone. I wish to go to an attorney by reference. Please anyone, who knows someone, send me an info. I would greatly appreciate.

you're gonna need to use google hon. it takes research if you're serious about getting help. I say this as I sit here being sick for 10 years with breast implant illness from mentor "gel" implants... having anxiety about finding a lawyer as well.

6 weeks update

Ok, guys, today is 6 weeks since my surgery. A lot of thing changed, and you can see on the pictures that boobies are doing better, however right one still riding high, and I don't really like squarish look of my left side under the armpit. Not sure if it will change, but I hope it will. My wound from spitting stitch is healing nicely and getting smaller. I had ups and downs with my journey, got regrets, and difficult times. At this moment I am not even sure that I did it the right thing, but hopefully I will start feeling better soon.

Hi!! I think you are looking beautiful. You still do have changes to go through. Lots of healing to do still. The acne will go away. Its just part of the journey. I know its an emotional ride. I understand. Hang in there. It gets better!!!! Happy Healing!!

Hi, thank you so much. As usual you are the best friend :)
Recently I read a lot of negative stuff about implants online and that literally crashed my world. I started panicking, crying and that was very hard for me to comprehend. I was very upset and almost depressed because it is not something you can undo right away. Not like stop smoking or something. I do feel better now after talking to some people and some doctors. Since I am healthy to begin with I shouldn't have any problems, but of course it will show only with time. Still nervous about it, but hopefully it will go away, I don't know....

Hey I just want to say thank you for posting these and being real. We spend all this money to look better and when we don’t see that it’s not a good feeling. I’m three weeks post opp and I’d like things to look different but I know it takes time. Every article I read says it really takes months. Just hang in there and focus on taking care of your healing. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.

Thank you for your comment, it's really helps not to be alone in this journey. I start liking by breasts in low cut clothes. I really thought that they will be smaller when I saw them at first, but actually they are not. As the matter of fact they are very full 38D, and maybe if I would try 38DD it will be ok too. They are still little bit different - one is sitting higher and the other one is under my armpit. Doc said to wear push up bra that it would push it from out of the armpit. Hopefully it will help. I didn't now that healing takes THAT long, and yes, when I read everywhere they say that this is the longest recovery out of all plastic surgeries. At least now, I am not in pain anymore and I can sleep in any position. They are healing, getting softer more natural look. Will try to post pictures this week. Feel better!!!

What is the bandaid / tape looking stuff you have on in the pictures? Also, how are you healing and feeling about your boobs now. Thank you so much for sharing. I am looking into booking with this Dr as well. What are your thoughts about him?

This Dr is really great for boobs. I showed my boobs to a lot of my friends who did similar surgery and everyone is jealous the way they turned out. They look very natural, and people who didn't know that I did the surgery wouldn't even tell. I need to make current pictures to show. Only one thing happened, that pocket on my left breast didn't close properly and my implant traveling a little going under my armpit. Not a very big deal, but after 1 year, if nothing will change I will do a revision quick surgery. I also might consider changing my implants for bigger ones, because after all the swelling is down now you see actual size, I think I would like them to be a little bit bigger :))))). It's all depends on my financial situation at the moment :))))

Update on my problem

As I wrote before I had this blister/bump on my scar area, yesterday. I rushed to see doctor and right when I came to his office, it burst. Doctor said they call this "spitting suture". Sometimes instead of dissolving the sutures, your body will push the foreign object (suture) out of your body. When it does this, they call it spitting a stitch. It creates a pocket which filled with liquid, blood or puss and then it will either bursts by itself or doctor need to open it up. It is a common part of healing. Just weird. This is how it looks today. Doctor prescribed antibiotics, some strong ointment and took culture test. Hopefully it will get better soon.

Thanks for the update. I was going to mention your last update I thought it was a splitting suture; however I thought it be best to let your PS make the diagnosis. You are correct in that they’re not unusual. Many of the members here have found by keeping them moist (but not wet) with Aquaphor or some kind healing ointment has been helpful with the healing. Good luck and please keep us posted!
