I have spent years looking at this surgery and wondering if it is for me. Having had rhinoplasty with upper lip graft 10 years ago has left me with a long and uneven lip. It is apparently impossible to remove the fat but hopefully this will correct the length in my lip, which is ageing. This doctor seems to have a lot of experience and a practical approach.

Review Dr Masson, Paris, lip lift

Franchesse
I had a lip lift last year with Dr Masson. He was very pleasant and reassuring and I believe the lip lift itself was a success. However, my nostrils have been deformed by the surgery (pulled down so elongated rather than round, particuarly my left nostril). I don't believe this is an error of Dr Masson but a possibility in liplift surgery. I would highlight this to all patients wishing to proceed with this. Avoid pulling top lift down (to rub lips together) and leave mouth open as much as possible. Although it seems to heal quickly it takes about a year for it to really 'settle'. Please note that the unevenness in my lips was already present due to a fat great over ten years' ago. Any questions, don't hesitate.

I agree about the strong possibility of having one's nostrils pulled down. This is what has happened to me, which is especially not good considering my nose was upturned at the start from a bad rhinoplasty.

How are your nostrils now after a year post op? Have they returned to normal?
November 7, 2018
Sorry I only saw this comment now, no they have not, the nostrils are larger than previously and very sensitive. The sill (little ridge at the bottom of the nostril) is practically disapeared and there is like a small runnel towards the base. hard to explain, I'll take photos

So after a year you’re still having issues with the base of the nose? Geez! Poor thing, dealing with the sensitivity feeling is not fun! Take some pictures, I’m curious to see your nose. Take care my friend. Xoxo

I think your sills on your nose look exactly the same as before the surgery. But, your lips are totally juicy. I also am noticing a much shorter philtrum. Hoooooray. Xoxo

Hi! I'm also based in Paris and am considering Dr Masson for a lip lift. Can you tell me if you are satisfied with the scarring and what the follow up is with Dr Masson (how many follow up appointments, responsiveness to post-op questions/concerns...? Also, were you given an "arrêt de travail" for recovery?
