I've had gyno half my life and I was finally in a place where I could go forth with finding a surgeon and having surgery. I found Dr. Baxt on realself, googled him, looked at his reviews, looked at the videos he has on youtube and then made an appointment. I went in and spoke with him, he was honest with me about how the post op could possibly be. I had pretty bad gyno so I knew what the possibly results were and I felt those results would be better than having gyno any longer.
When surgery day came, his entire staff made me feel comfortable. This was my first time having surgery so I was pretty nervous about it. Dr. Baxt's anesthesiologist came in and spoke to me before I went into the surgery suite, then Dr. Baxt came in and spoke with me to tell me exactly what he was going to be doing. Shortly after I walked into the surgery suite. Everyone in the suite was speaking to me to keep me from being nervous and I guess to also know when I was ready for surgery. The next thing I remember was waking up in a leather recliner. The staff helped me get dressed once I was coherent enough and then I was on my way home.
I didn't immediately look at the post results as it was just a bit too surreal for me. When I finally did though I was bruised and swollen which was expected, but my gyno was gone. It took me even longer before I looked at the incision spots but when I did I was happy with those also. Dr. Baxt makes a small incision on a crease between your chest and arm pit. He uses a grinding tool that breaks up the gyno tissue and then lipos it out. Liposuction alone will not remove gyno tissue as it is too solid. It's only been 4 weeks but its so unnoticeable and over time with the scar fading I don't think anyone would ever see it.
I can say I am happy with the results. I went in with realistic expectations and I received better than expected results. Full recovery time is 6-12 months and I look forward to seeing any changes.
