Day 6

Off all my pain meds by now. I might just take half a Valium today if it gets too tight and then my antibiotics and singulair. Dr G prescribed singulair because it's linked to lower chances of capsular contracture. My usual sleeping schedule is 10pm-8am (I need a lot of sleep in general) but now it's been midnight to 5am, I take a Tylenol, then about then till 9:30. Lots of day naps. Sleeping is getting easier and easier though!

My bloat is dissipating too. I went from 132 lbs day of surgery up to 140+ a few days after and down to 136 today. I'm not going to worry about weight fluctuations and bloat just yet because it's normal and natural after major surgery (is what I keep telling myself ;))

After 1st Post Op

Post operation appointment went great. Dr. Greenberg showed me how to perform the breast exercises (ouch at first! But sooo much relief of tightness). Everything went well and I got to pick out the compression band I'll wear for a month (I think it's a month) She also marked my chest again to show me how far to push my implants in which directions. She is so personable and cares so much about her patients. I'm exceedingly happy with my choice of surgeon :)

Day 1

I woke up from anesthesia just fine and asked for a little more pain killer intravenously. Really wasn't in too bad of pain that first 24 hours. The whole surgery team was so fantastic! Kind, patient, and extremely capable. Dr Greenberg came in and let me know that they turned out beautifully and everything went really well!
I had a 2 hour car ride home and I had no nausea (they had given me anti-nausea stuff via IV). The first day was really easy on me. Dr. Greenberg called me personally that first night to check on me and I really appreciated it! Her and her team were available for any concerns I had the whole time.

The second day is when things started to feel really tight and uncomfortable, but still my pain never went over a 6 out of 10, the first two days. I was instructed to leave the original bandages on until I saw her in 48 hours. The bandages felt really really tight that final morning but I'm so glad I listened and didn't peak because the shape is turning out amazing.
