I've wanted this surgery done for a long time. My lips were a dark pigment and hanging from 2 births and a "big" fiance. They'd get stuck and pull in underwear, and get chaffing easily after sex from being pulled. I never liked the look of it, although others thought it was sexy.

I had my free consult in the middle of September and was told I'm a good canidate. I had my preop on October 1st where I was given all the medications to be filled. We went over what would be done as she showed pictures of my va-j-j.

Yesterday (10/13) I went in to have the prodedure, outpatient in the surgeons office, very convenient. I was 15 minutes late, but the nurse was super nice and accommodating. They only do one surgery a day which is very nice, because I was very nervous, and embarrassed.

I got into my hospital gown and sat on a comfy couch where the nurse inserted an IV, some type of fluid.

The anesthesiologist, who was funny, put something in the IV as well. About 3 minutes after, I walked to the surgery table in another room. It was really cold. They strapped me to the table, and I don't remember anything after that besides waking up in a bed next to the nurse. She showed me pics of the work as soon as it was stitched and it looked awesome.

I was able to go to the bathroom right after which burned a little bit, then sat on the comfy couch to make sure I wasn't nauseous.

When I got home, I ate, took percocet, and fell asleep. First time to the bathroom at home, blood squirted from the incision (because of all the pressure from sitting). Sprayed it with a water bottle, which felt awesome. It was super swollen. My eyes became swollen and brusied looking.

2nd day, it's still very swollen. I'm able to move around more, still taking percocet to relieve the pain and burning. Burns when peeing, not too much pain.

I'll upload before pics when i get them from the doctor.

Day 3

jlkowalick
Went to my 1st post op. Doc says it looks beautiful. Onviously it's still very swollen, which I expected. It hurt to drive but I've been laying down since then. My throat is super sore, assuming from the breathing tube. Haven't peed much from only drinking ginger ale (to keep nausea to a minimum from percocet). Stings and itches, still icing.

Swelling has went down extremely. Still swollen and sore, but not half as bad. Hard to keep dry because my clit is swollen and rubs against the pad. Ive had a bit of spotting from stitches, nothing extreme. The stitches itch a lot, i just rub polsporin on it to relieve the itching without scratching.

Thank you so much for posting your story. I consulted with Dr. Buck for the same procedure at the start of the summer but then thought I better wait until swimming season was over. Your last post was a couple weeks ago, how are you now? Are you all healed? Were you bedridden at all? (I've got to consider how/if I can take care of myself and my family.)

Wow lucky you chose a good doctor, there are only a few in Florida who get it right - you must still be so happy. Mine was awful but I didn't go here!
