1 month and 1 day post surgery

Feeling great. Incision is ITCHY, but practically no pain. I have started walking on treadmill 2-3 times a week and did a light yoga class this week. I have a little bit of swelling on the days I am more active. I am wearing a Spanx like tank every day for support. All my jeans and pants fit with room to spare!

2 weeks post surgery

Thursday:. Tube free Thursday! Got my drain out (Thank God!) And all remaining stitches. Feel great. Tightness in abs is still there, but less severe. Still have pain off and on, but ibuprofen and the binder help tremendously. Cleared for "light" activity, i.e. walking for 10 minutes and light weights. Wordsof advice to anyone thinking about TT surgery. Ask your Doctor how many drains you will have. The drain is the biggest pain in recovery....more than the pain. I only had one, but a friend of mine had 2. Makes a big difference. Also, Dr. Quinn told me it was fine to take a shower as soon as a day after surgery, as long as I kept the drain opening covered with Press and Seal. This was HUGE. My friend wasn't able to shower until she got her drains out, 15 days after surgery! I don't know about you, but taking a shower is so vital to my feeling refreshed, clean and good about myself. So, ask your Doctor about that. I am SO HAPPY that I had the surgery! Pics are 15 days post surgery. I will post at one month and then monthly after that for a few months.

Feeling great. Minimal pain. Having trouble sleeping bc I think I am moving more at night which causes me to wake up with pain. Taking Tylenol regularly. Can almost stand up straight! . Still drain in but crossing my fingers that I will get it out Mon. Or Tues. Pics are from today. I have been so happy with my treatment by Dr. Quinn and his staff. They really prepared me well for what to expect and have been so encouraging and supportive.
