My surgery was yesterday and Dr. Quinn and his staff were absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for better treatment from everyone I encountered. I started out as a 32A. Pain level waking up was about a 6. Surgery was at 12:30 and by 3:30, my pain was about a 1 or 2 as I was mostly only feeling pressure. I'm anole to move my arms with little discomfort. My pain is very low up until my meds start wearing off after 5 hours or so. I will continue to update. Updated on 21 Nov 2022: Very detailed review to come. Sorry a lot of this should have been included in part 1, but I did it wrong. So bare with me. I am trying to be as transparent as possible without typing a novel, but sorry if it turns out that way regardless. To rewind a bit to procedure day: Do not even worry one bit about your care because these men and women are amazing and will absolutely take care of you. I am a nurse myself and I could not have hand picked better care. They will go through your history and all that, several times but they’re just being thorough. The nurses will make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed, they will answer your questions, they will re-assure you if/when you start freaking out. They will hold your hand, they will answer the same questions you’ve already asked them 5 times and not even get annoyed lol. I literally felt like I was in a spa. I got into my gown and they put a blanket on me and then attached a vacuum thing that blew warm air into my blanket so I wouldn’t get cold. They updated me very often to let me know the progress how things were moving along. The anesthesiologist came in and she was so nice and told me exactly how things would happen. From that point, it was just time to wait for Dr. Quinn to come in. He did come in and he walked me through everything again, made his markings, he promised he would take care of me and did so to my boyfriend as well. I was taken to the surgical room and all the nurses and the anesthesiologist talked me through everything all the way up until they put the mask on and told me I would fall asleep soon. The last words I remember is them telling me that they promised they will take the best care of me as if I was their own. I woke up and was in brutal pain, won’t lie about that. At that point I had already been in recovery for about an hour but I don’t remember it, which I was told I wouldn’t. The nurse stayed by my side and held water to my mouth with a straw and also had soda if I wanted that and just stayed with me while I came around to my senses. She clothed me little by little and helped mw get myself together at my own own pace. Afterwards, they brought my boyfriend back and they let me gather myself before they walked me to my car, buckled me in, and sent me on my way. Day 2, I was still sore but feeling better and was able to get up and move around. Pictures are from once I woke up and was actually functioning enough to realize I have boobs now lol Updated on 27 Nov 2022: Updated on 8 Dec 2022: Overall, feeling pretty good but experiencing an issue in my right arm which started a few days prior to day 10 and I forgot to mention in my last review. I began feeling a tight sensation in my right arm when elevating it or extending my arm at full length with no elevation. I had been doing my stretching with no problems and one day, lifting it caused a pulling feeling in my arm. It feels like a tendon or nerve is being pulled, and is also visible. Day 10 was my post op and they said it's normal and will resolve. It has gotten worse, but I trust their opinion that it will go away. I continue to stretch as directed and throughout the day it feels better, but every morning it seems that the progress is gone and it starts all over. Other than that, I feel great. They are getting softer and swelling has gone down. I have attached pictures to try to show the visible pulling. My next post op is in 12 days, which is 1 month and 1 day after surgery. Updated on 17 Dec 2022: Feeling really good. My boobies are looking fabulous as the swelling has settled. I still have some of the nerve or tendon pain in my right arm but it has completely gone away in my upper arm, but I can still feel the tendon or nerve when I touch it. I now only feel pain in my lower arm and the nerve or tendon is very visible when I extend my arm. It's kind of gross but I'm hoping that goes away. Updated on 4 May 2023: 6 months post op and they are perfectly healed. The scarring is barely visible and they are soft and squishy! I have zero regrets. I have received so many compliments from my friends and even my mom who wasn't quite sold on the idea. Best decision I ever made! Updated on 4 May 2023: Late review. This was Feb 20. The only thing I was experiencing still at this point was slight nerve pain but no other issues! I have continued to heal wonderfully and will post a separate review with todays results!
I'm currently 26 years old and have been wanting a breast augmentation since I was about 18. I have no kids and I'm 5'2" and currently 107 pounds. I definitely want to go noticeably bigger, but not so much so that it looks obnoxious on my size frame. Updated on 18 Oct 2022: I’m now at 1 month post op so wanted to share some photos of my journey. I started at probably a 32A but rarely wore anything but sports bras and other bras I had never fit the best. I had a recommendation from a friend who had a BA and she had nothing but good things to say about him to I went to Dr. Quinn at Quinn Plastic Surgery in Overland Park Kansas. My boyfriend came with me to all my visits and I think having someone with you is a really good thing to have, just to have another set of eyes that know you and have an idea of what you want in your head. My first visit was just initial stuff about the procedure and he took measurements and we put a deposit down. I also tried on the sizer with the different size implants to get an idea of what I liked. I started a little lower for sure liking the 350 on me and possibly the 400cc. The pre-op visit was basically just choosing my size for sure. I ended up being comfortable with the 400cc size and then decided to go up from there to 450. I got to try them on with several shirts and clothes of mine so I got more comfortable with the fact that they didn’t look obnoxious and I wouldn’t be busting out of my clothes in a bad way. Updated on 18 Oct 2022: I’ve had 2 major knee surgeries before this so I knew what pain felt like post op but I think I had an extremely bad experience at managing pain wise. Immediate after surgery I was in such pain it felt hard to breathe. The nurse ended up giving me 2 extra doses of fentanyl just in recovery and it barely touched the pain, which was super surprising. Once I got home the pain was almost unbearable and my pain meds again barely decreased pain. As for the pain meds not working I think it might have been because they were mixed with Tylenol which has never helped me manage pain before at all. I felt super tight and uncomfortable (as almost everyone is) after surgery. Honestly the worst part was that my pain was not at a manageable level for a little over a week after surgery. According to most other reviews on here it seems like this isn’t the case for most women so I’m not sure why I was an anomaly so don’t let that scare you away. Updated on 18 Oct 2022: Super weird seeing them uncovered though the ace bandage! Very hard, up high, and awkward shape as to be expected. My doctor does not have his patients wear compression bras after surgery which was super weird to me. However I’ve seen my friends boobs that were done by him and they look amazing so I trusted it. Updated on 5 Nov 2022: Updated on 6 Nov 2022: I had a wedding to go to a week and a half after my surgery. I planned ahead and wanted a dress that would basically completely hide them because I was expecting them to be up pretty high and still shaped kind of weird and unnatural. Plus I knew a lot of people at this event and didn’t want to draw too much attention. I think the dress worked perfectly! Boobs were pretty out to the side so I used a strapless sticky bra to pull them together. Updated on 6 Nov 2022: Two full weeks after surgery! I took a week and a half off of work because my job is really physical and my first couple weeks back were extremely tough. My job has a lot of lifting and I had no idea how much reaching and pulling until I came back. Having incisions in the armpit and implants under the muscle was pretty hard recovery for my job. Updated on 6 Nov 2022: Boobs look and feel much more natural and normal! Still super annoying not being able to wear a bra to work though. Since my job is physical there are times throughout the day where I will sweat a little and the nippies I was wearing would start falling off and that got too annoying to deal with so I wear a tight work tshirt and then one of my work sweatshirts over that with my Figs joggers. I’d feel a lot more comfortable if I could be contained and wear a sports bra lol. Updated on 16 Nov 2022: Loving them!!! Seriously no regrets whatsoever. So happy with them. Updated on 21 Nov 2022: My surgeon gave me the go to to get fitted for a bra and said to go to Nordstrom or Dillards because Victoria’s Secret had no idea what they were doing. I listened and stared at Nordstroms where she fit me as a 32G which was shocking. I couldn’t think of anywhere they even sold bras that size and all the ones she showed me were grandma looking bras that fit really well but made me feel like a grandma. I went to VS immediately afterward to compare and see what they fit me as and the chick who did it (I informed her I needed to get sized because I had my boobs done and Nordstrom sized me at 32G) and she smirked and was judgmental and measured me over my clothes completely different to how the lady at Nordstrom did and said “oh no no no you’re more like a 32B or 32C” and offered no other help whatsoever. I tried some on and started with a 32C and a 32D and both were way too small but the store was closing so I ran out of time. Felt really judged by that woman there. Went back to the mall another day and found another sexier looking bra from Nordstroms that was still full coverage but fit really well. Then I went back to VS and decided to try on a shit ton of sizes and types on my own since I had no help the previous time. Started with a 32D just to try again, and it was way too small with my boobs spilling out of the cups. Then tried on several 32DD that fit really well for the most part. Then just for shits and giggles I took one 32DDD back to the dressing room just for shits and giggles and my bf was like no way that looks bigger than your face???? I found that most 32DD fit pretty well but it was kinda close to spilling out on any of the push up ones. The 32DDD that I jokingly tried on the last actually fit the most comfortable! They just have limited sizes for that one so I guess VS wise, I’m able to fit a 32DD comfortably but a 32DDD even more comfortably. Updated on 18 Dec 2022: 3 months after they definitely feel more soft to the touch and squishy. They look even better. I love them!
Great staff, everyone was so very friendly. Clean facility, I felt like I was in good hands. Reasonable price and knowledgeable. Everyone knew the answers to a lot of my questions and were very realistic. Loved my experience :)
After breastfeeding 4 babies and being left with deflated A cup boobs, I decided to take the plunge and get a BA. I'm only 2 dpo but loving them already. Hoping to be a D or DD once they've dropped and fluff! Updated on 31 Dec 2019: Feeling pretty normal today. Completely off all pain meds, except just tylenol in the morning when I wake up stiff. Have pretty good range of motion in my arms, and wash able to wash my hair in the shower. I went back to work today but took it pretty easy. So far, recovery has been a breeze. I'm so thankful and extremely pleased with my results thus far! Dr. Quinn is amazing! Updated on 6 Feb 2020: I'll be 6wpo tomorrow (Feb 7) They are really starting to feel like they are apart of me. Getting very soft and feeling me like a real boob. My right is being a little stubborn and not dropping near as fast but my PS said that's completely normal. Heres my most recent pictures.
I feel so blessed that I found and chose Dr. Quinn and his medical staff for my breast augmentation. He made this process so easy and extremely comfortable. Many of my girlfriends have had breast augmentations and warned me about the recovery time and pain, however- myself and the other girls I know that went to Dr. Quinn, had the quickest and easiest recoveries. By day 2 I was showering myself, had full range of motion back in my arms, and honestly never felt any pain at all— just very little discomfort. I truly believe that this is because Dr. Quinn is a VERY skilled and experienced surgeon. His knowledge and skill level are apparent and his staff answered every question (and boy, I had a ton) happily. I never felt pressured and always felt that they listened and understood my wants and concerns. When mentioning his name to other doctors and people in the medical field it was apparent that his reputation was and is flawless! Every single person sang his praise and told me how lucky I was to have a procedure done by him. I can’t thank Dr. Quinn or his medical staff enough for such an easy and positive experience. My results are EXACTLY what I had hoped for and what I conveyed to him. Not only is he a surgeon, he’s truly an artist. Amazing!
I am a 39 year old mother of two children and I have been working out like crazy. I have lost 30lbs but nothing from my abdomen which makes it worse because my boobs have gotten smaller which makes my belly look even bigger. I have diastasis reci and I did not know I had it and was doing all the core strengthening workouts ( crunches, planks, situps and push-ups) which I later found out makes it worse. I have low back pain and incontinence I am so ready for a tummy tuck. I hope the TT helps a little with my other problems. We shall see. Was going to get a mommy makeover but we are military and found out we are moving soon (not expected ) so I didn’t want to do too much before the move. I can get the boobs at our next due station I am getting a umbilical hernia repair 12 days before my TT. Military wouldn’t allow me to get it done during TT ????( long story) Updated on 26 May 2019: Dr Quinn was on vacation but needed to talk to my general surgeon to make sure my date for TT would work with my umbilical hernia repair and He spoke directly to her ON HIS VACATION. He is so kind and you can tell he really care. He is honest and direct but you can tell he wants the best for you. Plus he does amazing work. Can’t wait for my TT with him. His staff is so amazing too. I am 100% sure I will have that care with them Updated on 13 Jun 2019:
As I plan to make a much longer message for his site later, I will keep this one brief-ish. I feel most women use realself for all of the questions, concerns, cost, hours of searching before and after pictures. I am not a housewife in a lovely area. I'm a hospitality manager. It started with a lift. How could I, as the breadmaker and mother take all of that money and put it towarda aomething that seemed so selfish. No one knew but myself what I looked like. Every single cent was worth it. Living having confidence, feeling good in what I wear and just having my head held high is priceless. I watched enough videos and did screenshots to know what I wanted them to look like. I realized I didn't show him 1. He just listened and I described. They were perfect. 6 Days ago I had my mommy makeover with him. As I'm recovering I can tell you I can see what potentially ot will look like. You have to have patience, I'll be swollen and in this beautiful garment for some weeks and hoping my breasts drop soon. I called with questions and his team always is prompt, friendly and treats you with dignity and respect. I will forever recommend Quinn. He is a true artist who actually cares about people.
This whole experience was above and beyond what I imagined. Don't hesitate and waste your life away being miserable with your body. I don't regret a moment of this decision. Thank you Dr.Quinn and his amazing staff for changing my life!
I had cool sculpting mini done under the chin 2 weeks ago on the left side and 1 week ago on the right side. The reason they were spaced two weeks apart was due to the machine shutting off for safety reasons on the right side. The experience for me initially was no great. I guess due to the placement of the machine, it was tugging/pulling too hard and was causing a shooting pain that for me was extremely uncomfortable in the back of my neck. After calling the nurse back in, they adjusted the machine and all was a lot better. The first 5 minutes really suck, but then it becomes numb and cold and the rest of the 45 minutes is tolerable. The left side was next and same thing happened with the pulling/tugging. Unfortunately for me when she tried to readjust the machine shut down. I guess if the machine receives a difference in temperature as a safety precaution it turns off. I came back in a week to receive the left side of the face. The first treatment left a red mark under my neck for a week that went away. The second treatment did not. Both treatments I had pretty decent swelling and numbness under the chin, but nothing unbearable. There is still weird sensations at the present time which is 2 weeks out (left) and 1 week out (right). The only complaint I have so far is that starting less than 24 hours after the second treatment I am having a annoying nerve-like sensation in my feet. During the day it is really not bothering me because I am active and busy, where it become noticeable is in the middle of the night between 3 and 5 am. The problem for the last week is that is interfering with my sleep and I am averaging 5 to 6 hours a night. I will be calling the provider today. I go to this provider for several treatments, and I know they will handle this appropriately. I have done extensive reading on people's results, doctors Q and A etc. I do not believe I am the only one that has experienced something like this but of course it is not something the cool sculpting site directly mentions. They mention the more localized area. However, knowing my body very well, I am sometimes extremely sensitive to things so I can see this lingering but eventually passing. I know results can take 3 to 4 months so we shall see. Updated on 23 Aug 2019: The pictures posted before were after the treatment when i was swollen. I just donnt see much improvement unfortunately. 4 months after the treatment my neck felt thinner and i could see a difference in pictures. Forward 3 months later it feels fat again. Updated on 24 Aug 2019: I feel like on the sides of my neck there was a difference, but the double chin I felt there was no change. Itt does seem to be slightly worse. I do not think it is worse due to the treatment, just maybe worse due to aging another 7 months...sigh. The treatment was done in the middle of winter where I am usually 10 lbs heavier and i have actually lost 15 lbs since it is summer so it is not as if I have gained weight. Anyway, I read that other doctors have done kybella after cool lipo to clean it up so not sure if that will be an option for me. I am leaving my review as not sure because I really am not sure if there was any improvement or enought improvement for the cost.
I could not be happier with my surgery. Dr Quinn and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and responsive. I am thrilled with how my breasts look and my recovery very process has been pretty easy. I would have done this years ago had I known! I highly recommend Dr. Quinn and his staff.
