I recently went to see a plastic surgeon about obtaining a more youthful look. Dr. Smith injected Botox in my forehead and outer eye which gave me a smooth yet natural appearance.

Additionally, Dr. Smith administered Volbella to the tear trough area and along my upper cheekbones as well. The result is that I no longer have deep indentations in my under eye area. As well the extra volume in my cheeks has provided a more youthful appearance.

As a next step, Dr. Smith has recommended IPL photofacial sessions and perhaps a small amount of Volbella in my lips.

Thanks for posting your before & after pics. You look much younger. Did you have a lot of downtime - bruising, swelling? Did your tear troughs need to be injected in separate appointments? 7 months later, how do your tear troughs look now? thanks for any info

No problem! This is what i like most about injectables - there is no downtime. Dr Smith took his time and was gentle when administering the product. I also didn't experience any bruising or swelling. Tear troughs are still going strong and I'm told the product should last about 18 months. I ultimately did have more Volbella added as the product settled and wanted a more full appearance.

As an aside, Dr. Smith added a small amount of Volbella to my lips and I am pleased with the result (but it was more painful than any of the other procedures).
