Close to 4 weis post-op

I am now close to 4 weeks post-op... My recovery is going well, still am sore on the side boobs from internal... I can now sleep on the side with support cushions. I have melting stiches coming out at the intersection of the scars. No more infection... Breats is sometime tender and feel tight at end of day or if i keep a sitting position too long. I am going back to work on Monday... I thnink the 4 weeks recovery were needed as i am starting to pickup with energy... I have not driven my car yet... That will happen when i start back to work... I am wearing sport bras with langer band under breadt so the scar is not too compressed... It helps with the tightness feeling... The scars are starting to heal... I am still 100% happy i went thru with this surgery. Would do it again in a heart beat. And of course if it was to be done again i would not wait that long to have it done. :-)

Two weeks post op

Hello everyone,

I am doing well. My healing is well under way. I do have pain that sometimes feel like a shock or maybe like a sudden steetch to a muscle. This is more painful then the first week pain. I think i overdid it during the first week. I may have pus or infection under my right breast. During my 1 week post op appointment, my PS said to watch for this and request a skin antibiotic presceiption from my family doctore if it occurs. I am waiting word from my doctor's office. Besides that the steri-strips are almost all gone, the breast is taking its shape and i am still very happy with the result. I can't wait to rwsume my fitness activities. I lost 6 pounds since the surgery. Anyways, all is well ans as expected. Still would do this again. ????

Why no drains??

I asked my PS why some BR carry drains and some don't since i didn't have any drains, I wondered where the fluid went??? His answer was that some surgeon close shut some blood vessels while doung the surgery and some don't...he prefers to shut them off during surgery so that there are less bruising and no draibs. Where does the fluid go? His answers is because the bessels are shut, a minimum of fluid is produced in the breast. The body takes care of resorbing the minimum fluid. So lucky me, my surgeon took the time to do a surgery with minimal effects. I have only good comments about Dr. Ferron...he explained everything to me and made me feel much reassured about the whole process. I would refer this professional and easy to talk to physician to anyone who would ask... So far i have only positive comments about his work...
