My breasts stopped growing in grade 6 after I got...

My breasts stopped growing in grade 6 after I got my period in grade 4. My frame is short and petite. I always felt like I wasn’t comfortable with my chest because I was quite flat and tended to curl my shoulders forward. I also have a bit of a gap and can never achieve cleavage really. My breasts were either too big for a 34A but slightly too small for 34B. I always contemplated on getting a BA. When I was 23, I started getting into fitness more seriously and barely had any breasts anymore. Even 34A was not fitting anymore.
I recently got engaged in August and I had been discussing with my partner for a couple years that I wanted to get a BA preferably before our wedding just because I wanted to feel more feminine and beautiful in my dress. So we started researching more seriously and decided to go with Dr. Silverman in Ottawa. We booked a consult early November and scheduled my surgery for December 19!
I got to the hospital at 11 AM and was admitted at half past noon. We live 30 minutes away from the hospital and we were back home by 4pm. It was fairly quick and “easy”. I wore baggy jogging pants and an old roomy zip up sweater alone. I recommend it over leggings and zip up, especially for the nurse trying to dress you (mine thanked me!).
When I got home, I changed into my fiancé’s old dress shirt. It’s roomy and easy to wear!
I’m on Day 1 Post-op, and omg all these forums have been very comforting. I didn’t know what to expect at all because I never had any type of surgery before. It’s nice to read about similar experiences and not feel alone. I was quite nervous but my partner was very supportive too.
I remember taking slow deep breaths staring at the light in the operation room and waking up in the recovery room super groggy and disoriented. I could barely keep my eyes open and slowly started to feel the pain in my breasts. The nurses were so nice when I woke up. I had trouble making up a sentence but I’m assuming it was because I was coming off the general anesthetic. They gave me 1mg of dilaudid (half of the 2mg dose because asians tend to react strongly the nurse said) and 2 Tylenol’s to help with the pain. I felt nauseated within 10 minutes and they gave me something through my IV to help. The nurse said everything went well and it was like a textbook surgery. Thankfully!
I was quite in pain the first 24 hours. I definitely needed help with everything. My fiancé is super good to me, and has been catering to my every need. This really helps with the stress and worry of post-op. It was hard for me to find a comfortable position on the couch because I kept sliding down my butt even being propped up by pillows.
Sleeping the first night was really hard for me. I’m a stomach and side sleeper. Sleeping on my back with TONS of pillows was difficult still because I kept wanting to turn over. I’d wake up every 2 hours because of pain in my breasts and my back as well. My stomach is definitely bloated too. I don’t have much of an appetite though (I’m a huge fan of food and loooove to eat usually). Dr said I can eat a regular diet but i’m trying to eat healthy to help counter side effects of the medications (constipation for pain killers, and diarrhea for antibiotics).
I’ve been taking a full 2mg dose of dilaudid about every 4 hours and supplemented with Tylenol extra strengths. I’m taking antibiotics 4x/day too. Sometimes I feel nauseated after taking the dilaudid, so I have been taking Gravol during the day. It helps me sleep-nap to recuperate from the lost sleep the night before. It also calms me more and helps me not move too much to heal better. My partner helps with everything as well. I needed help pulling down my pants/panties to go to the bathroom the first day, but by the end of today, I was able to start doing it very slowly on my own.
My first post-op visit is tomorrow morning. We’ll see how it goes!! Bandages should be coming off (or replaced?). I’m wondering if my breasts will have less of a gap once they drop down. Right now they’re quite high and I feel like my gap is still wide. I guess only time will tell!

Day 2: Post-op 1st Checkup

jc678
Just came back from my first post-op checkup. Everything looks great! Dr said that I’m quite tight and my breasts aren’t moving anywhere! I asked about using ice packs or putting anything on my breasts but he said that I should let them be and give them time to heal on their own. He said it’s hard to tell but thinks my breasts will take at least a few months for them to deswell completely.
I had my bandages removed and the stitches are self-absorb, should dissolve within a month. I feel more swollen today than yesterday actually. AND I’m really glad I didn’t go for bigger ones. My skin is sooo tight. My implants are quite high up my chest and should settle down after 3 months as well. Everything is so swollen (as expected).
Last night’s sleep was also much better. I took my painkillers and Gravol to help with the nausea right before bed, it was glorious sleep! Didn’t even wake up or have to move during the night. I think the pain is also getting much better. Dr Silverman suggested I could go bra-less for a couple of hours. Omg does it feel great to have the new girls out of the open for a bit. I felt so tight and it was hard to breathe. As soon as I unhooked the front, I could feel the relief!
Dont get me wrong, I’ll be keeping my bra on for months to come, but breaks here and there will be precious!!! My back is also quite sore near my deltoids and all around my shoulder blades. I forgot to mention that I also felt a lot of soreness and pain in my arms for the first 24hrs. From my shoulders to my forearms, especially at the elbow around the joints. My partner has been helping with short massages and boy does it make a difference!
Also, it’s kind of crazy to see how different my boobs look in terms of size when comparing front to side views.

Congratulations on making it through! You will feel better day by day and swelling will go down the more you take it easy... be good to yourself for a happy recovery! I did use ice packs, they really helped with the spasms in the first 5 days.

thank you! I noticed that the swelling goes down quite a bit when I give “breaks” with the bra. I feel super constricted and sometimes hard to breathe for how right it is!

Oh my gosh, seeing your photos here and reading this was a blast from the past! Haha well only 6 weeks ago but we looked so similar!! The angle of the shot is everything isn’t it! They look like the perfect size. They are going to settle amazingly!

Day 3: sooo tight

jc678
I’m just exhausted. Stuck between feeling nauseated or groggy from the meds. The antibiotics have also been really hard on my digestion, had to get up 3 times to the washroom in the span of 1.5 hours. My fiancé bought me bananas to help. Seems to be working a bit. I’ve been burpy a lot too. Ugh, it’s been more about being uncomfortable than in pain. My back pain is still going strong unfortunately too.
Sleep was okay last night. I just learned about what “morning boob” was. I definitely have that. My boobs are just so sore and tight!!
I never thought breathing would be so tough!!
Still bloated and eating something normal has been difficult for me. Nausea keeps coming and going.
I just keep telling myself “one day at a time”.
