Made Cellulite Worse! - Oslo, Norway

ORIGINAL POST

I don't have any pictures, but just wanted to...

$1,200
I don't have any pictures, but just wanted to write a quick review since I use this site frequently and had read the reviews here before trying Venus Legacy.

Went to a salon in Oslo, Norway for a series of 5 treatments on thighs and buttocks, to get rid of cellulite. I noticed no change whatsoever the first two treatments, but knew that I had to be patient. My concern was cellulite on the back of thighs and buttocks, but after the third treatment I started noticing cellulite on the front thighs! I thought it might have to do with me scrutinizing mye body in front of the mirror all the time because of these treatments, that I had just noticed more problem areas that I had not paid attention to before. But after the fourth treatment cellulite was definitely more visible in the front around the knee area and there was still absolutely no change in the back/buttocks, so I stopped treatments.

Maybe the skin tightening part of the treatment worked, but since the cellulite part didn't, they just became more visible as the skin tightened? Just a theory. I am young and slim and already have tight skin, so I can't really tell if it's any tighter, but I think it might be.

Anyway, I am not at all satisfied and am trying to get my money back. There are no guarantees, but having spent 1200 dollars I just can't accept that it not only did not work, but seems to have made the condition I specifically wanted to treat worse.

I really would not recommend this to anyone, maybe for skin tightening, but not for cellulite. The part of it feeling like a hot stone massage was also complete BS, it was really uncomfortable and even hurt a lot at times. Like being burned. I do think my practitioner was a bit inexperienced though, that might be why it hurt, and maybe also why the results were [RS bleep].

Still, don't do it, that's my advice.. you think that the more expensive the treatment, the more it works. I've had better results with cheap chinese cupping, and Eximia (vacuum therapy+lymphatic massage) which is also expensive but half price from Venus Legacy here in Norway.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the results you were hoping for.  Please let us know how things turn out.

I too have had a terrible experience. The skin on my thighs needed some tightening. I had Venus Freeze treatments 3 years ago and was happy with the results. I decided to do further treatments, and Venus Legacy was recommended. After the second treatment, the skin on my thighs became much looser and bumpy. The inner thighs are really sagging. The machine had just been recalibrated and I'm wondering if the temperature used was too high because I felt really uncomfortable. I am in my late 60's and wondering if this treatment is safe for people who have lost the elasticity in their skin. I work out and have for over 30 years, so it's not that I'm overweight or have a lot of fat on my legs and body.
So sorry you had that experience. You are not alone. I am in good shape but of course at close to 60 my knees and upper thighs needed a lift. I had 8 tratments and they are worse. At first I thought there was an improvement, but over time things became worse than before. Far more bumpy looking. The texture is now ugly. The technician did not take any photos before or after so I have nothing to stand on to get any refund. I really hope that over time, things go back to the way they were before. I am 58 and at proper weight, exercise daily and no health issues.
Hi girls, I'm not an expert or anything, but I was a good student. I still don't see how any of these heating procedures can work for tightening. It doesn't make sense. You know that if you want to expand something, you heat it. Heat it a lot and you will expand it more. If skin is indeed tightened it is due to the damage, but I still find it hard to believe that it won't make your skin worse. Some of these devices also break the septae for cellulite, as does subcision. I wonder, if you break that, yes, the fat will be released. But I guess you need to have just one dimple for this to work. Because if you have more, and you break lots of septaes, the higher quantity of fat together in one large compartment will be more difficult to be held together and you will end up with a big irregularity in your skin. Cold makes sense to tighten, but how can it be long-lasting? It's temporary, lasting literally a few minutes until room temperature does its thing. Have you tried cryolipolysis for cellulite? That makes more sense, as it supposedly freezes fat until cells dies and are naturally eliminated. Now, for skin tightening, which is what I'd love, no procedure convinces me logically. If you know one that works, even if it is just lifting a lot, please share.
