Two-jaw, Mini V-line surgery after 8 month

WORTH IT
It's been 8 months since I proceeded my surgery, I feel excellent and returned to sport. My maxilla now feels ok but mandible is still a bit numb (the main work was done on lower jaw, as the problem was exactly there), I think I need a bit more time to completely recover as it wasn’t a simple surgery, so I do realize that bones need more time to recover and although, swelling is almost gone I still have some in the bottom. I can’t eat anything I want yet but that’s because of my braces (a bit afraid to damage them with some solid food).
All in all I’m satisfied with the outcome, I used to have headaches before, now they are all gone, I finally began to chew food correctly and it also effected my stomach and I stopped gaining weight (it used to be unstable as before I couldn’t chew properly and sometimes swallow large pieces of food). Also, I used to have some blood pressure issues which resulted in headaches and now it’s gone since the pressure on both jaws became even (my jaws stopped to get tired). Since, our body is one big machine, when there’s an error the whole system works incorrectly.
My hobby is photography, I’m a photographer, I used to get tired just after half an hour of active shooting, as if I lacked air and breathing (my lower jaw was too backward, so it pressed the throat not letting in more air). I can now breathe deeply enough and it feels great, I became more resilient to active sports and shootings. I’m very grateful to Dr.Oh, it wasn’t an easy surgery and it took me a while to prepare for it but it definitely worth it, all you need is time and the right mood. Love yourself and good luck everyone.

Hi how is your jaw now ? How much can you open it?
Dr Oh wouldn’t allow me to start exercises until 3.5 months later so I have a limited mouth opening , and tightness and numbness
Since then for 6 months I have severe neck swelling
I hope you don’t have my condition too
.
Dr. oh moved my jaws severely backward and compressed my airway and now I have severe obstructive sleep apnea And need a cpap machine at night and need a revision surgery
I have told SUYEN that I have this severe medical condition and so Dr. Oh is aware but he has not taken any responsibility, the last time I spoke to him was 4 months ago when he yelled at me on the phone when I asked for a refund he said what are you sending me? Send me double what you paid ! And he hung up

How was your aftercare?
You should get a sleep study to check for sleep apnea too because unnoticed it will lead to heart attack diabetes stroke car accidents to which I am at risk for now

Please get checked

My Surgery

Hello guys, I want to share with my orthodontic experience, but first let me tell a little about myself: I’m Salta from Kazakhstan, 28yrs old. To fix my bite issues was a dream since I was 7, finally with my family support I could make it true for which I’m infinitely grateful.

About both Dr. Oh and Regen PS I found out though one quite famous Russian youtuber, who filmed about Seoul. I’m also very grateful to her for making so extremely useful and informative videos. That time a had to choose to get my surgery done in Seoul or Moscow (I already visited few maxilla-facial surgeons there) and of course the cost was also an issue. Obviously, to proceed such operation in Moscow was several times cheaper but after some considerations and advising with my family, I decided not take risks, since it was about my face and health in general.

Lot of people still wonder how I dare for such a “big” surgery. In fact, it wasn’t about my appearance, since they thought I had lot of insecurities because of that, but mostly about my health. Because the pressure on my jaws wasn’t even, I experienced pain quite often. Just imagine, the upper jaw was fully developed and appropriate for a 27-yrs old adult while the lower jaw was way behind and was like for a 14-yrs old teen. That resulted in many other issues. My mandible literally went inside and didn’t fit my maxilla to create a normal bite (I had a distal bite). Chewing food wasn’t proper enough because of which my stomach also suffered, my pronunciation wasn’t clear and most importantly, I had to push forward my mandible while I was talking in order to simulate as normal bite as it was even possible, to normalize my pronunciation. Apart from that, I also experienced spasm in my jaw muscles from time to time which lead to headache and defective sleep because of incorrect breathing. All this felt no longer bearable and as time passed by, my condition became only worse.

Why surgery and not braces? It’d be a comprehensive approach. When you are 27 and your bones have already been formed, braces are useless. Nonetheless, they are necessary to align teeth in the future or prepare then for the upcoming surgery. that’s why it’s important for the orthodontist and a surgeon to work together. Preop I wore braces for good 3 years (during first 2 years we aligned the position of my teeth and after it took me one more year to finally decide to proceed a surgery).

Surgery: I won’t lie, it was very stressful for me but I wanted it so badly that my excitement pushed me more and more forward. Honestly, I wasn’t scared about the result or how the surgery goes but I was very excited about those 4 hrs after which all my issues would stay in the past. In fact, waking up from anesthesia was quite a challenge. Well, the whole recovery was quite a challenge for me.

It was extremely difficult to drink right after the surgery because of swollen throat. Eating only liquids for a month was the most difficult part though. Swelling was brutal, hopefully I had no pain at all, only continuous dizziness and drowsiness for few days after the surgery. It was also really hard to take meds and I was hungry most of the time. I lost about 10kgs which is actually good for me, plus my stomach cleared up. Skin condition got a bit better (I used to have a severe rash all over the body, most probably it was an allergy reaction to some products). I also found it extremely uncomfortable to sleep in a sitting or semi-lying position (that was necessary to get rid of swelling faster – keep the head over heart). And blood came from the nose and mouth from time to time.

Now it all seems to me like a nightmare but time flies very fast. By now I can eat almost everything (it’s still a bit difficult to chew meat though, so I need to exercise jaws).

Special thanks: I want to express my deep gratitude to Regen’s staff for their professional and operative work. To my consultant Irina who supported me all the time and to Dr.Oh of course for helping to make my dream to come true. I feel very lucky that could find such a great team of real professionals.

If you are experiencing the same issues, don’t be afraid to fix it and I highly recommend Dr.Oh!

Dr. Oh is the worst doctor in the world ! Please run don’t walk! He ruins people’s faces and he took 35,000 dollars from me and my partner and ruined our faces I have severe migraines and electrical shocks
I just checked the Korean association of plastic surgeons and it looks like Dr. oh and dr. Lee are both suspended ! Anyone can go to the website and check his credentials! http://prskorea.co.kr/English/mobile/index.asp
