Fixed my Prolonged Midface and Chin

My midface was too prolonged, so all ps’s that I contacted with suggested me to get two-jaw. I also wanted my chin to become shorter and only at Regen was I suggested v-line for that. The total was way higher than I expected and planned, but they were quite responsive and my consultant helped to get more discount which I personally found really nice of her. After that I had some doubts, so didn’t make any deposits or reservations, only paid $50 for scans and asked some time to make a decision. I met few other surgeons too but wasn’t fully satisfied, so I came to Regen again. It took them about a week to get prepared for my surgery, and in December last year I finally got it done (two-jaw + V-line).
I didn’t realize that recovery would be that hard. I did expect that my mouth would be closed 24/7 but didn’t know how difficult it is – not to talk, not able to normally swallow (I’m not talking about moving my jaws), so yeah psychologically it was a challenge…I also remembered that at first thought that my lower jaw was pushed too backward as I had no neck line. It was my main concern but was said that it’s just swelling and that I need to wait a bit more. On week 2 when all stitches were removed they taught me how to tie rubbers myself. So basically I could go back home after that but decided to stay few more weeks (“just in case”). A week later, right before my leave, I met with Dr. Oh. He checked everything and said that my recovery is on track. He instructed to keep the wafer up to week 9, then switch only to rubbers and a week later put the wafer back in order to check the bite. Everything was fine, thank god. But swelling was still something that bothered me a lot.I was supposed to come back after 3 months but couldn’t due to corona, so I just sent them my pics and concerns (swelling). By that time, swelling wasn’t that wild yet, it I thought about it a lot. As for now, it’s been 5 months already, I’m still practicing with opening my mouth and a bit afraid to eat whatever I want (although, Dr. Oh gave his permission) and I do think that I’m still swollen. However, I can clearly see the progress and it’s quite satisfying.
