Worth It!
WORTH IT$5,950
It’s been several years. I have permanent retainers on the upper and lower. I would absolutely do it all over again. I love my smile and love the compliments I get from everyone. I love that I chew with my teeth together now.

Still have some numbness
It's almost 6 months out. Still have some numbness in my lower lip but not as bad as it used to be. I have been wearing my retainers every night with no issues.

I am scheduled for this surgery in 3 weeks but I’m seriously thinking of backing out as I don’t want my jawline or chin to look and longer or
Larger . Did you notice a significant difference in your chin size ? Like especially when smiling , when I put my teeth in the position they say they’re going for , my chin looks significantly longer in a way which makes my whole face look much worse in my opinion. If you see my comment I’d really appreciate any info you can tell me as I am terrified ! I have some pics of my face to compare what I mean . Congrats on your surgery the end result looks really good on you ! Just having trouble telling the difference from the original pics as far as chin size lol I just feel a small chin looks better with my face shape

I had mine done. I have bimax surgery. Unfortunately, they had to revise the lower jaw but then even after revision my upper and lower teeth are still not aligned... I'm hoping that orthodontic treatment can fix it.
hello! I had my ortho consult today and while I knew surgery would be the suggestion, hearing them tell me made me so nervous. Thanks for sharing your story. I think my concern is looking different... I have a 9 and 5 year old. I worry about what they will think. And it could just be my anxiety focused on something minimal to avoid the real issue, but did you ever doubt it? Sorry if this is asking a lot, I just don't know anyone who has gone through it before.
