An astonishing double jaw surgery result

Dr. Jamali performed double jaw surgery on me primarily for sleep apnea and breathing issues. I am so happy with the results, functionally and aesthetically. He has not only fixed the issues with my jaw and airway, meaning I can bite and sleep properly and get proper rest for the first time in my life, but cared deeply about and discussed with me how I would end up looking.He listened to all of my questions and answered them thoughtfully without ever making me feel self-conscious. I worked with Dr. Jamali and his partner orthodontist for about a year to prepare for the surgery, and was able to complete all of the orthodontia with Invisalign. I didn't have to use metal braces at any point in the preparation which was a really pleasant surprise.I'd read all kinds of reviews and testimonials from people who've had double jaw surgery, and I am pretty sure that my surgery and recovery are best I've heard of. My upper and lower jaw were both moved forward, about 5mm and 10mm, respectively. I was in the hospital for one night, and was never wired shut afterwards, which meant that I could drink liquids easily.After about three or four days, I felt well enough to be up and about on my own, with only minor swelling, and could resume all of my normal activities (except for eating solid food, since you have to be on a liquid diet for 6 weeks, and I also haven't tried heavy exercising or lifting anything heavy). I didn't have to use any heavy pain medication during recovery, only ibuprofen.The worst part about the recovery was my nose being blocked up for the first couple of days, but that's primarily due to the breathing tube that the anesthesiologist puts in your nose during the surgery. I attribute the majority of the success in the operation and recovery to Dr. Jamali and his team. He was available over the phone at any point after the surgery if I had questions or concerns.He and Dr. Lin, his partner orthodontist, are a welcoming and extremely talented team that got me exactly the results I was hoping for. I cannot thank Nina, the office coordinator, enough for all of her diligence and care spent getting me my appointments, consulting with my insurance, communicating with my employer about how long I'd be out of the office, and the innumerable other ways she made me feel that I was in the best hands. Dr. Jamali is a wonderful surgeon, and I can't recommend his practice highly enough.
