I got my LBL on 12/27, today is day 11 and I am hoping today I can feel well for most of the day. It has been a tough recovery. I was not prepared for how long and difficult it would be. The 1st 4 days were very hard. I can't wait to see the final results. Will post some pics later. Sleeping is difficult at times and sometimes I just pass out. I had 2 drains, 1 was removed at first post op. I feel I am ready for the other drain to be removed because I am not draining that much anymore and feel like my body is healing fast. The area where the drain comes out is irritated and hurts so I am afraid of how much it is going to hurt when the drain comes out. I know after that drain is out I will feel a lot better. Swelling is not too bad. I've been resting and walking but not doing too much where I move my torso. I'll take pics later today when I shower and post.

Just went through this. I’m about 5 weeks post op. I also didn’t anticipate how difficult recovery would be, but it gets better. Its just a much slower process than I realized even though I healed up quickly. I did get an infection as some of the sutures aren’t dissolvable (which enhances results) but can create an environment for bacteria. So watch out for that. Also don’t get too confident and get in and out of a car too much or bend for things. I would invest in a grabber contraption for when you drop things. There is healing going on much deeper than just the visible incisions so you’re doing right thing by taking it easy.
Take vitamin C and D and eat protein and you will get better everyday. Best of luck :):)

Thank you for the advice. I will follow it. Time does go by fast and before we know it we will be in bikinis! :)
