WORTH IT$16,000
I have wanted a tummy tuck since I had my oldest son at 20. I've been self conscious and hidden my belly even from my husband. Although I was able to hide it well in flattering clothes and swimsuits. I had my youngest son 5 months ago and although I find it easy to lose the baby weight (50 lbs both pregnancies) my skin and muscles are further stretched out, we are done having babies now so time to put myself back together! I feel guilty spending so much money on myself and taking the time away from my baby (not being able to lift him etc) but it's a small fraction of time that hopefully will make me feel better about myself and he is so young he won't remember! I'm telling my 8 yr old I have to get my belly fixed, hopefully he doesn't notice my boobs lol. Speaking of boobs yikes. Getting breast lift and some kind of implants. My husband likes big boobs but I'm short so don't want to look top heavy!
So far I've had three consultations:
Dr. choi Orlando, this was a two hour consultation very thorough. He is extremely artsy and spiritual and the office is over the top fancy with jelly fish hanging from a glass tank in the ceiling and a grand piano in his office. He was originally my first choice however my concern is more with my tummy than my breasts and he doesn't actually perform tummy tucks his partner does. You have to have the procedures separately so more down time. I know cost shouldn't be a main factor when having elective surgery but his price tag was hefty too. $20,000! Overall I liked him and thought highly of his work the thing that truly put me off was his credentials, I find it odd that after so many years in business there are hardly any reviews online and he is a D.O not an M.D I'm no expert but I think they have different board certifications and all together that made me nervous.
Dr. Arabitg Orlando. I found this Dr. Through realself. He made me feel like I was a hideous creature who needs to get things fixed ASAP. My husband went with me to this consultation and he had my sit down with an open gown and grab the skin, he made unprofessional comments and I just couldn't stand him to be honest. I asked if I needed a breast lift and he replied ( whilst they were still out on show) yes you have floppy C's and anyone who says you don't need a lift is lying. Brilliant lol. I wanted the ground to swallow me up and kept trying to cover myself back up. His price tag was significantly lower than the other two $11000 for everything, he insists on saline and just has questionable advice. Also suggested a BBL even though I never mentioned anything wrong with my bum, thanks!
Finally Dr. Soto. I also found him on realself, honestly when I first signed up his name and reviews were everywhere for my area and I thought I'm not gonna go see him he obviously pays to be at the top. However, when I needed more consultations and decided to try him out he must be number one because he's genuinely the best. His staff were amazing and didn't make you feel embarrassed or looked down upon. His exam was quick and then you get get dressed and he returns to talk to you with clothes on, in my opinion all cosmetic Drs should do this as you're so vulnerable when standing there half naked. He explained everything fully had amazing credentials and I knew he was my choice within 5 minutes of meeting him. So we shall see how it goes from here.
Pre-op August 7th and surgery August 24th :)
