My labia minora have been asymmetrical with one side protruding since puberty, causing me to be self conscious when I was younger, and always causing me discomfort with exercising and when wearing certain clothing. Only a month out from a unilateral labiaplasty with clitoral dehooding, I have noticed a difference even with just walking, not having to readjust throughout the day, and a new confidence when looking in the mirror. Though I would not recommend returning to work after only 5 days, I never needed more than Tylenol, ice and rest for comfort during recovery.

Thanks for starting a review. You sound very pleased with your results, that's awesome! Did you have your procedure under a local or general anesthetic?

I had my procedure using local anesthesic with twilight sedation.

Fed up and feeling regret

cnsward
So...9 weeks out and still having swelling, tenderness and sutures spitting out for the last month. I was able to remove some myself, but had to return for the doctor to remove some as seeing and reaching is not from the best angle. If I'd knownthat this was a possibility, being sensitive to sutures, I think I would rather have gone with the amputation method and external sutures. This was supposed to have less scarring, but now with these craters and holes still open, I'm wishing I'd have left well enough alone...wondering when this will ever end :(

Hi! Did the hole ever close up? I have suture hole and I'm not sure what to expect. Getting restless worrying it will need a revision

It did close up finally, but took several months to really look more normal. Now you'd not really know I'd had surgery or see my scars unless I told you.

Phew! Thankyou so much for responding so fast. I may sleep tonight. Also awesome about your scars disappearing. Pretty cool!
