37 Years Old and Finally Feeling Un-flawed - Orlando, FL

After removing what turned out to be the last internal suture causing irritation, things have settled down. Still having some slight discomfort to the area and 3 "holes" where sutures erupted that I'm not sure will ever close up. Overall the results are acceptable.

Sorry you had a tough go with everything. The final results look really nice, but I'm sorry the journey wasn't easier. It definitely was atypical, but I really appreciate you sharing your story to help educate other women.

I know you posted years ago, but was hoping you could provide an update now that it's years later? I'm 1 month post op and just thought i'd feel a lot better by now.

It really was 3 months before I felt better and probably 6 months until the scar discomfort resolved completely. It seems like a long road when you're in the midst of it, but I am pleased with my results and know it was the right decision for me. Be patient, it will get better!

Thank you so much for replying. I've had a bad day with it today. I guess I was hoping to feel a lot better by a month. Nothing looks normal to me. I have some nice photos up but I swear daily it changes how it looks. 2 more months feels like an eternity.

Fed up and feeling regret

cnsward
So...9 weeks out and still having swelling, tenderness and sutures spitting out for the last month. I was able to remove some myself, but had to return for the doctor to remove some as seeing and reaching is not from the best angle. If I'd knownthat this was a possibility, being sensitive to sutures, I think I would rather have gone with the amputation method and external sutures. This was supposed to have less scarring, but now with these craters and holes still open, I'm wishing I'd have left well enough alone...wondering when this will ever end :(

Hi! Did the hole ever close up? I have suture hole and I'm not sure what to expect. Getting restless worrying it will need a revision

It did close up finally, but took several months to really look more normal. Now you'd not really know I'd had surgery or see my scars unless I told you.

Phew! Thankyou so much for responding so fast. I may sleep tonight. Also awesome about your scars disappearing. Pretty cool!

Nice result, more symmetrical and of course neater.
