Went to a few consultations before choosing a surgeon I feel very comfortable with. I am currently barely filling out the top of my 36B bras and I'd like to be around full C/D area. Based on my measurements during the consultation and trying on sizers, right now I'm thinking of going with 400cc round high profile Mentor silicone implants under the muscle. I am glad I took some pictures with the sizers so I am able to refer back when I get anxiety about choosing the correct size. I'm a little concerned that high profile will produce really round results but based on my wish pics, this is what the surgeon suggested to achieve desired fullness.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Glad you consulted with several doctors to find just the right one. It's nice that you have the pictures of yourself in the sizers...I like the look! Feel free to join the December 2016 breast augmentation surgery forum for some pre op support!

I'm 135 pounds 5 foot 2 . I was a 36b/34c before breast aug. I got 385 inspira high profile . It looks like you have no upper fullness (like me) so the high profile will give you a nice projection and fullness ! I think the ones with no breast tissue is what makes the high profiles look fake and round because they have no breast tissue of their own to help fill out the implant . I'm sure it depends on each ones individual breast shape as well ! For me , I'm glad I went with high profile ! I have fullness up top and a great round shape through the bottom that's natural yet firm and "restored" to my "before kids" breast shape . I'm four weeks post opp and their looking better daily . They were in my collar bone the first week ha ! They change a lot every week and every day ! Anyways , 385 cc put me at 34 d without padding , I tried on the padded push ups and needed a double d ! Although they look big in a bra and in pictures , I still wish I would have went a little bigger .... I think everyone says go bigger !

It posted before I could finish. Anyways, I told my husband the same thing. That I was comparing apples to oranges for high profile. Some I like and some I don't. So I'm starting to focus on the before picture as a better guide. Still difficult though because not many woman are 5'9" with broad shoulders like me. Size is another battle. I hear too often that woman love their result but wish they had gone bigger. I plan on trying bigger sizers on at my pre-op in November!

I'm so short and smaller built that the surgeon said 385 fit perfectly with my chest wall . the surgeon did sizers to see what would fit before placing the actual implant . 385 was about all he could fit without making me look too fake . We did not decide on a size I showed him pics of what I wanted them to look like and he used his judgement in surgery ! Before and afters are so misleading because some people look huge and some look small w the same implant size ! I would really just voice everything little thing w your surgeon !

I've heard about the disposable sizers during surgery, I'll have to ask my surgeon if that's an option! I'm definitely going to try on sizers and ask his recommendation on biggest size for my measurements, see what that looks like in my clothes and go from there. At the end of the day, I trust the judgement of the surgeon.

High profile breasts were popular in the 90's, but now look rediculous! Quoting my plastic surgeon in San Diego.
The more natural or (real) the better!!!

Well, I would have to politely disagree here. HPs are a good choice for the taller women because it takes a larger implant amd

**** and a more defined profile for BA to achieve results that someone at 5'2 and 110 lbs would need. Bigger the bodys build the more it can carry. And needs to achieve nice results. And you can achieve a more natural look even with the HP. And lets face it, no implant will mimic a natural breast to the T. But to the naked eye can get close. And please keep in mind everyone has an ideal image in their mind as to what is natural looking and what isnt. And I would bet that no 2 women would have the exact same opinion.

With your stats (shout out to my tall ladies! My fellow 5'9er!) I think the 400 will land at a boastful C cup, to a nice D. Remember that us tall gals need the bigger cc sizes. Because our frame will just chew them up. And under the muscle is going to eat up another 50cc's on top of that. So check into the 425s or 450s, if you are wanting to restore the fullness. But if you are wanting no larger than the D cup, dont go any bigger than the 450s. Or youll end up larger than you intended! But i think the HP is a great choice for profile. Again with our frame and build, a MP+ will give you a larger circumference. But lacks is the upper pole fullness, I think you are looking for. So stick with the HP. Post some wish pics!

Thank you for your insight. You are correct, I was uneducated prior to this post so going into my consult I was just a little shocked when I liked the HP sizer look better. You are absolutely correct about the larger frame. See, that was where my information was misleading. There are not many women on here that are tall like me so I was comparing apples to oranges. I feel confident that the HP will give me a more desired result. Will have to revisit the 400 ccs and see if I can go a little bigger. I don't want to feel underwhelmed after I go through this surgery.

My preop is next week and after some more consideration, I'm really leaning more towards wanting a full D after surgery. The sizers seemed pretty good but after knowing I will lose some cc's going under muscle, I'm really wondering if I should go a little bigger to make up for it. Posting some wish pics.

Everyone says you lose volume when implant is put under muscle. If you are looking for a full D then I would definitely go with a bigger implant. I am 5'7" 140 lbs & went over muscle with 600 cc high profile Natrelle & love them. I'm a full size D now with a great cleavage.

I wouldn't worry about the cc's. Give your surgeon photos of the look you want and let him decide a range. I know the general consensus is that tall women need more volume to achieve the look they want. I don't feel that is the case all the time. I'm 5'10", Started as a 36B. I had 350cc almost 3 months ago now and I'm measuring 36DD.

Thank you for your comment! That makes me feel better. I'm also currently 36B and would like to be around your size now as a final result.

In 5'10 145 pounds and i just got 492 and 457 since I have asymmetry. ..they don't look any bigger in clothes but naked they look big! And im hoping they don't get any smaller. I wanted small implants so I could still wear my same clothes and I was worried about looking top heavy since im small on top. Right now im thrilled with my result as long as my breast with the tattoo on it starts letting the implant slide down like the other has already. I won't be perfect because of my differences.

My operation is the day before yours and I'm going through the same thing. The biggest thing I hear is people wishing they had gone bigger. I asked my ps to do a virtual sizing and it def helped put things in a better perpective and made me feel more comfortable about going up in size so that the result would more naturally fit my frame.

I'm a little over one week Post op. Recovery has been really smooth. A lot less pain than I expected! My boobs are still very tight and high. Next week I will begin the massages. Currently loving the size. I'm interested to know if anybody felt loss or gain in volume as swelling goes down and they start to drop? Would appreciate input!
