Revision Rhinoplasty and Upper Lip Lift

I had a rhinoplasty procedure about 15 years ago when I lived in California. The plastic surgeon was highly recommended and "renown for his talent." After meeting with him several times, I was convinced he understood what I wanted and decided to undergo the surgery. Unfortunately, I was never happy with the surgery, and never had anything else done again. I was just miserable thinking that was all that could be fixed. UNTIL a few months ago, I started searching the internet and reading the "realself" reviews about Dr. Mao and thought... if all of these people are really this happy, maybe he can fix my nose. After meeting Dr. Mao, he immediately made me feel at ease. He is very honest and up front about what are realistic goals. I explained that it also bothered me that there was a huge space between my nose and top of my lip (which I felt made my nose even more prominent.) So he suggested a lip lift which could be done at the same time. Since my rhinoplasty would require breaking the bone, I would have to have my surgery at a surgery center - which is a lot more costly than most other rhinoplasty surgeries which can be performed at the surgeon's surgery center. (So, don't be scared off by the price. Your's probably won't be that much.) He told me what to avoid weeks before the surgery so I wouldn't bruise and I followed his instructions, though I thought to myself (fat chance, I always bruise.) Surprisingly enough, I had only a tiny bruise on one eye after the surgery! After the first surgery I had, my entire face was bruised for weeks! Also, following this surgery, I didn't have any pain, other than localized pain if I touched the nose and moved it around. When the cast was removed after 10 days, I almost fell over. (Well, I did literally. lol) I now have a completely different, beautiful, brand new nose that I've always wanted! My nose was pretty much completely healed in 2 weeks (to return back to work.) I am so absolutely grateful to finally have found a doctor that really listens to what his patients want and follows through and achieves results!
