SOO glad it's done!- Orange County, CA

Here I am 11 days post opp!!! I am in love. I love looking down and seeing more boob then stomach. Lol. I have done everything people told me I would not be able to do and then some. By day 6 I had laughed, coughed, slept in my own bed(this was by far the best), stood straight, had a BM and had relations with my husband.(tmi, I know! But I have seen a lot of posts on here about it). I am still very swollen in my stomach region but not in a "hurt" kind of way. It's more or less like my c sections. I developed a cough 2 days prior to surgery that was "non producing", my dr had asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said heck no! .. I don't regret that decision but man! Coughing after muscle reconstruction was hard. All and all, I would do it over again in a heart beat. I did not make it down toy goal weight prior to surgery.. But I did step on the scale yesterday morning and I was down to 138. I know this doesn't mean much because of the swelling and bloating but that's still pretty awesome!

I am 4 days po and I am feeling great. Today I was able to put make up on and do my hair to go hang out At a friends house for a few hours. it felt good to be out and about..I'm sure I will pay for it tomorrow. My boobs are less and less sore.. And I have graduated to sleeping in bed. Just waiting for that first BM to come /: hope everyone else is recovering well!!

I went in on Tuesday and the staff at la veta surgical center were amazing.. And to say that dr. Bui exceeded my expectations is an understatement. Tuesday is a blur, my husband and I had decided to come home instead of getting a room down there. I am so glad we did! I had my ice packs; my recliners and everything I needed at home. Wednesday I did a lot of sleeping and Thursday I went for a post opp. He removed a drain already, said my healing was ahead of schedule and re-dressed everything else. The boobs hurt worse then the tt for sure.. Until I have to cough. It's been an adjustment looking down and seeing boobies!!! I love it All so far. I will post some pics. The hardest thing is not being able to shower. I'm pretty sure I'm greasier then a McDonald's French fry. Lol my husband has been amazing and has arranged care
For when he has to work.. He is even sleeping on the couch next to my recliner. (:
