26yrs Old, No Kids, 5'6 150lbs, Currently 36B and Upgrading to 36D. Orange County, CA

I've been visiting this site religiously over the past two months since I decided to have a breast augmentation done and I figured it was time to contribute. So, here goes nothing!
Just a little background information...I am 26 years, 5'6, 150lbs and extremely active. I have two younger sisters who are both lean with D cup breasts. I should note that they are 16 and 18 years old, so you can imagine how embarrassing this can be. I'm convinced it's something in the water, but that topic is for another day lol. I've been an athlete my entire life, which I think may be partially responsible for my relatively small breast; neither of my sisters play sports. Although my clothes fit great and my breasts look amazing in tops with a great VS push-up, I want to have that same confidence when I'm naked. I'm also tired of wearing push-up swim suits. I've just received my Masters degree and I've decided to treat myself to what I've always wanted...bigger breasts!
After three consultations, I decided on the first doctor I met with which I was referred to by a friend. From my arrival at my consultation appointment to meeting with the doctor, I felt extremely comfortable and I knew he was the right one. I will be receiving silicone moderate profile implants, submuscular via inframammary incision. Since I have "wide" breasts as the doc explained, I will be receiving 550-600cc which will give me the fullness and increased cleavage I want. Of course my eyes got big when he first told me the cc's, which is why he was hesitant to tell me because he didn't want me to get hung up on the number. After he explained that my chest is wider than most women receiving implants in the 300s (due to my years of weight lifting), I was confident he knew what he was talking about and 550 won't be too big. After all, he's the one that does this surgery day in and day out.
I have my pre-op appointment in two days and my surgery scheduled in 9 days...I must say, I'm getting VERY excited. Although my boyfriend loves me the way I am, he is very supportive of my decision and he's starting to get excited the closer we get to the big day. He lives in Chicago, so he'll be flying in the day before and staying for a week. He's extremely compassionate and comforting when I have a common cold, so I have no doubt that he'll be amazing during my recovery.
Your advice and encouragement is greatly welcomed. I'm sure we'll get well acquainted with each other over the next several months.

Today's the day! In 4 hours I will have the D cups I've always hoped for. I'm currently a nervous wreck mainly because I've never been under general anesthesia so I have no idea what to expect and I'm nervous about the recovery process. I hate having stomach sickness so I will definitely be staying on top of my nausea and pain meds. The surgery center is a 45min drive from my house, so I'm praying that I don't get nauseous on the drive home. I am a very independent person and I can already tell that this is going to be a very humbling experience. Luckily, I have an amazing boyfriend who's willing to do any and everything during my recovery.

Hopefully, I'll be a good state to hop back on the computer and update you all tonight. If not, I'll post an update as soon as I feel up to it.
