Well, it's been 10 days now since my surgery date. And it was a breeze!
On the day of my surgery I went to the clinic and met with my surgeon (Dr. Moore) who went over how the day would pan-out, he asked if I had questions and any other details I might need to know. I met the anesthesiologist and nurses who would be working with me that day, they asked about medical history etc. I then met with a nurse who gave me my gown to change into and was soon afterwards brought in the operating room. Everyone was very kind and kept a great atmosphere. Next thing you know I'm waking up in recovery. I was groggy and had unclear vision due to the protective gel they put in my eyes, but, no nausea and absolutely no pain. I was in and out of sleep for a little bit, making conversation with the nurses in my room. My sister was called and I changed into my clothing and was brought home.
My first nights sleep was not very pleasant, as I am not a mouth-breather, my mouth was very dry. I developed a sleep pattern though and would wake up once in the night; take pain meds, ice my nose, drink lots of water and go back to sleep. It worked for me very well.
I did end up using Arnica gel for the next few days which I personally feel only helped with bruising but not the swelling, ice worked best for me...and sleeping upright.
My cast and stitches came off on the 8th day, it was a slightly painful process but totally worth it.
Now, on the 10th day, I can tell my nose is still slightly swollen and is very sensitive to the touch but is doing very very well. The tip of my nose is numb as well, but with time this will come back.
I now love my nose, Dr. Moore did exactly what I had asked for. :)

You are doing good. Just rest, keep up with your meds and drink lots of water. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

This is the hardest part. It's uphill every day from here. Hang in there.
