Dr. Moore is excellent at what he does, it's not only proven by the procedure but also by all the highly educated doctors and medical professionals who consistently recommend him as the best in the business. One quote from a radiation therapist was "Corey could remove a whole face and put it back on and you would never know". As for my experience, Dr. Moore removed 6 moles from various places on my body, head, and face (one particularly difficult one from my scalp). Dr. Moore was incredibly personable at both our consult and the actual procedure day. I felt fully comfortable and informed. The procedure was quick and absolutely painless. I just had the procedure a week ago yesterday and 5 of the 6 treated moles are healed completely and aren't noticeable at all. The 6th was the absolutely massive one on my scalp and it is healing very well with no pain or complications. My only complaint is that the wait time between my consult and my procedure was several months and I believe I waited 7 months for my consult after being referred by my family doctor.
Dr. Moore is the sweetest doctor. I'm 55 years old female had a facelift may he explained in way I could understand the procedure. His whole office is amazing. I drove 3 hours to get to his clinic it was so worth it. I look 15 years younger I can hardly believe it. Recovery was very fast within 2 weeks you could not tell I had surgery. The scars are well hidden.
Dr. Moore labored for 8 hours removing and reconstructing the right side of my face and neck. He removed all the lymph nodes and made sure he did a thorough job. 8 hours of surgery and 170 stitches to get it all. I can't say enough about his beside manner and his skills. I am writing this because I have just passed my 5 year check-ups. I'm happy to say I am cancer free and I truly believe I owe all my gratitude to him. He is the best! If you have any choice in the matter, THIS IS THE GUY YOU WANT!!!
Consultation was initially booked for October 26th, 2015 BUT with luck I am now officially booked for June 5th, 2015. I have been looking around for a good surgeon for months, after reading what feels like a million online reviews on surgeons in my area, I have decided to book with Dr. Coorey Moore at Woodfield Surgical Centre. I am hoping after I meet with him next week I still like him! Updates to come on pricing and potential/ virtual before and after photos. Updated on 8 Jun 2015: I've finally had my consultation with Dr. Moore! He is really easy to talk to and understood what I was looking for. Here is what I will be having done: -I am looking to have my hump removed and made, not quite straight but with a small curve to the tip, as the tip is supposed to be the highest point of your nose. -I will be shortening the projection of my nose and also breaking the sides of my nose so that when I get the dorsal hump removed it does not get wider but stays thin. -Raising the base of my nose / my tip and removing the piece of columella so that you cant see into my nose from the side. -and lastly changing the angle from which my nose leaves my face up between my eyes. After I spoke with and made my virtual changes with Dr. Moore, he brought me to a exam room where he checked my septum for any deviations, I have a slight deviation on my left side that he will be straightening out during the procedure. I was given the choice as the whether I would like the procedure done in the hospital or in Dr. Moore's private clinic, he mentioned the he usually recommends people get it done at his clinic so they are not exposed to sick people in the hospital. On top of that point I would really like it done in his private clinic for privacy reasons, this is a procedure I have only told people really close to me: parents, sister, boyfriend and best friend, aside from those people I would like to avoid running into people I may know in the hospital. Lastly, I met with his nurse and discussed pricing and questions I had and officially signed ALL of my papers. The way Dr. Moore does his pricing is the same for everyone...Now I am just deciding on what day works best for me financially as I have to have everything paid by two weeks before the surgery. Post to come with my virtual changes! For anyone who's consultation is coming up I recommend you do lots of research like I did, I found it really easy to follow what he was saying and describing already knowing the terminology and the basics of how the procedure is done. Updated on 8 Jun 2015: My surgery date is officially booked for August 31st, 2015. I also received my virtual results via email today as well. Here they are! Updated on 4 Aug 2015: Here is a virtual photo I created with an app called Facetune. Loving the difference. 27 days to go ! Updated on 19 Aug 2015: 12 days to go! Updated on 19 Aug 2015: Updated on 1 Sep 2015: Updated on 10 Sep 2015: Well, it's been 10 days now since my surgery date. And it was a breeze! On the day of my surgery I went to the clinic and met with my surgeon (Dr. Moore) who went over how the day would pan-out, he asked if I had questions and any other details I might need to know. I met the anesthesiologist and nurses who would be working with me that day, they asked about medical history etc. I then met with a nurse who gave me my gown to change into and was soon afterwards brought in the operating room. Everyone was very kind and kept a great atmosphere. Next thing you know I'm waking up in recovery. I was groggy and had unclear vision due to the protective gel they put in my eyes, but, no nausea and absolutely no pain. I was in and out of sleep for a little bit, making conversation with the nurses in my room. My sister was called and I changed into my clothing and was brought home. My first nights sleep was not very pleasant, as I am not a mouth-breather, my mouth was very dry. I developed a sleep pattern though and would wake up once in the night; take pain meds, ice my nose, drink lots of water and go back to sleep. It worked for me very well. I did end up using Arnica gel for the next few days which I personally feel only helped with bruising but not the swelling, ice worked best for me...and sleeping upright. My cast and stitches came off on the 8th day, it was a slightly painful process but totally worth it. Now, on the 10th day, I can tell my nose is still slightly swollen and is very sensitive to the touch but is doing very very well. The tip of my nose is numb as well, but with time this will come back. I now love my nose, Dr. Moore did exactly what I had asked for. :)
