My 1 week visit went well and Dr says I'm healing nicely. The alarming bruising I had mid week is all but gone! I just love the size and shape of them and they are very symmetrical, I was definitely concerned they wouldn't be as I had just a straight lift with no implant or reduction. Luckily it appears I had equal amounts of breast tissue under all that extra skin!! I was also somewhat concerned that I would feel disappointed with the size but I'm still a full D so that's good enough for me! ;-)) my pain is all but gone and my new obsession is wanting to see those darn seams!! They are mostly still covered in tape but at this point as the tape comes loose I've been instructed to trim it and leave those parts exposed. I feel a little silly saying this but it's a bit like unwrapping a present every time another bit comes loose and more of my breast is exposed. After all, those scars are the biggest downside to having a full vertical lift so this part is sort of nerve wracking not being able to see the actual cut lines just yet. Anyhow, here's a few more pics of the progress for any who are interested... Oh, and one of me braless in a tank top( only tried this for a minute, just couldn't resist!) very pleased that I no longer have 80 year old boobs when braless!!! Yay!!!!!

So now that I'm out of the post op narcotics fog I'll update a bit on the experience overall. Surgery day itself went well. I woke up with my new lifted boobs and didn't have much pain at all days 1 and 2. By day 3 my entire body hurt, except for my breasts. It was the weirdest thing. My stomach, back, butt, legs, ect were all very sore!!! I think I expected the actual incisions to hurt but honestly, for me, they really haven't. I suppose the soreness was from the new propped up back sleeping. By day 4 ( yesterday) the soreness was all but gone. Yay!! It was replaced by heavy bruising that seemed to come from nowhere. It startled me enough to put a call in to my Drs office. They said as long as there is no unusual swelling it's normal and nothing to worry about. It was definitely alarming to look at though. Pics attached... Seems to be a little better today and I go in to Dr tomorrow for 1 week check. Overall, definitely a rough week but I only took 2 days off work, and 3 days of Vicodin so it wasn't as bad as I planned.

I know...the bruising does scare a person. You look great! Wish I would've had enough boob material to skip the implant..I love them but you always know there could be more maintenance down the road...
