I have been completely aware that I've had a large...

I have been completely aware that I've had a large nose for a long time. I thought I was above plastic surgery but then started to explore the option when I thought I might need a septoplasty. I ended up not needing the septoplasty but I was so excited about the computer simulated "after" pictures and realized this was something that I really wanted to do.
I would recommend Dr. Bruneteau to anyone in the area. He never hesitated to make appointments leading up so we could talk about exactly what I wanted my nose to look like. He was very realistic with me, honestly telling me that certain noses were out of range. He is conservative in his approach (to keep his patients from looking like Michael Jackson) and this is something I value in any physician, especially someone altering a major facial feature.
The day of the surgery, Dr. Bruneteau was a very calming force. His nurses were also all fantastic. The facilities were comfortable, as well. I was made very well aware of everything I would need. The surgery went extremely well.
I only took pain medications for about three days. I had extreme tenderness at the site of the break and looked kind of like an avatar for about a week. At this point I felt deep regret and depression. I went off the pain medications and this helped. I feel none of this regret anymore but I did go through this phase for a few days. Don't worry if this happens to you! It gets better as the swelling goes down!
I looked human after about a week and after two weeks the tenderness at the break site was almost gone. I also only took the pain medications for a few days and then switched to acetaminophen with no problem.
I did experience extreme constipation due to the pain medications. This was my worst side effect. I used mild laxatives and this helped, but this is definitely something to make note of.
Friends that know this has happened to me look at me and wonder what's different about my nose until I show them pictures. People that don't know say I look really good lately but can't pinpoint it. Dr. Bruneteau really achieves his goal of making people look better but not different.
I am not 6 months post op and still have quite a bit of swelling. I can tell the tip of my nose is still hard and will go down some. I've noticed this is worse in the mornings and after working out. It gets better with ice and when I've been upright for a while. I've heard this is normal for up to a year. I'm eager to see the very final results as the months pass by. NO REGRETS WITH THIS SURGEON OR PROCEDURE!
