In my family, our faces don't age well. We start out being pretty darn good-looking, especially in our teens, 20's through about age 50. Then the face falls, wrinkles take over and skin sags. I saw my mother go from being very pretty to an old lady, hardly resembling herself. Before I was heading in that direction, I'd been planning a face lift for a long time, and saving for it. I worried what family, especially my husband, would think. Well, he could see my face turning into my mother's and my husband was all in favor of it. I had my eyes done when I was in my mid 40's but now that I was in my early 60's, those eyes were sagging again. It takes courage to have a doctor cut your face and realign things, lifting your brows, etc. I was afraid and after I made my first appointment for a consultation, I kept putting off the surgery. My husband kept buggin' me and I did some research on the doctors at the same place where my eyes were done, Aesthetic Surgical Images. Dr. Bruneteau stood out to me. He has the most experience in facial surgery. I learned that he even reconstructed the faces of malformed children! He studied at Harvard Medical School! He was very positive about what my results would be. I had my surgery this past November 18th and am very happy with the results. My jawline is tight, not sagging, my eyes are droopy but look young and refreshed. The brow lift really put my whole face in a much younger look. If you are thinking about face lift, go for it! I think I was at the perfect age to have it done, 64. Results should stick around for ten or more years if you care for your skin. Wear sunscreen every day! ASI makes it affordable and will even let you pay for it over a year without any interest!
