56 Year Old Breast Cancer Survivor! I Need my Face to Match my Happy! - Omaha, NE

2 months update pics, etc.....
I am 2 months out from a FL and BL. As you can see, I still have some darkness under my eyes and some puffiness but I had some extreme bruises. Makeup can mostly cover this up. It's so interesting. I have only had one person say a word to me about any change and she was a friend I hadn't seen in a year. She said "your skin looks so....flawless! What did you do?" LOL! Not flawless by a stretch but absolutely better than it was. I would do it again. It does take time for your face to heal and then a little more time and patience.

5 weeks post op
I am now almost 5 weeks post of of fl and bl. My under-eyes and eye-lids are still swollen and slightly bruised but as of today, makeup truly can cover it up. I notice some swelling under my chin and the places in my hair that they made incisions have some hair loss. It surely is a process and anyone who decides to do this needs to be prepared to let yourself ride this out. It is no quick little weekend deal. But I am very thankful I did it. I am wondering why the PS didn't do a bleph on my upper lids as they seem to need it (my lids seem to be sitting on my lashes but I am also still a bit swollen) Mostly, I am pleased. Nobody has said "you look way different". I have been wearing glasses in public because my under eye bruises have lasted a long time BUT if you look at me a few days post op, you can see that they were no little bruises!!!!! I keep looking at my face and thinking..."I really wish this was different and this and that could be better...." haha. Has anyone ever had a lip lift? What is that like?

I think you look very natural and certainly more vibrant than in your before photos.
thank you, conmom7!
you look amazing!
thank you, Area88!!!
You are looking beautiful!
Thank you!!!
Yay! You are looking so fantastic! I am also a breast cancer survivor and treatment definitely ages the face. As does not having ovaries!!! I think if anyone deserves a little youth back it is a cancer survivor!
Thank you! And yes, it does age our body to go thru that little slice of hell. I also felt "deserving" of a little lift here and there after walking thru cancer. I am so thankful to be alive and how wonderful that I can also feel better about my sagging face!!!
