Had to go back in to get stitches out that were accidently looked over

After I had gotten my stitches taken out, the right incision was healing great but the left incision kept forming 2 scabs at the ends of the incision and the scabs were constantly falling off in the shower, leaking slightly (blood and yellow, clearish puss) and were not healing at all. It looked like two bloody infected holes. I made an appointment this morning and the doctor found 2 stitches that were not taken out when they should have been, and that was what was causing all the pain and leakage in those two areas. I don't know if this is a frequent mistake that is made but the nurses and doctors didn't seem surprised by it. Definitely call your clinic if you have even the slightest leakage or if one incision is healing differently/faster than the other one...CALL YOUR DOCTOR AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO BE SEEN. Healing is a long process but be aware of abnormalities and weirdness...ask questions if unsure and keep communicating your healing process with your nurses and doctors. I will be seen again in a week just to keep tabs on my progress! Hope this helps!

When I first considered getting plastic surgery,...

When I first considered getting plastic surgery, it was in order to fix my inverted nipples. I went to my first consultation at Dr. Finkle's office. I never saw or spoke with the actual doctor so I did not get the procedure done because I did not feel comfortable letting a doctor perform on me that I had never even spoken to. I eventually got my nipples re-pierced vertically instead of horizontally (originally I had my nipples pierced horizontally) and the nipples popped out great due to the piercings! I then felt happy about my nipples but was not satisfied with the size of my breasts. After reading many many reviews on this website about Dr. Bruneteau, I decided to set up a consultation the next week. When I arrived, I felt comfortable and excited. I watched an informational video about breast implants, got to touch both silicone and saline implants, and met with both the nurses AND the actual doctor that was going to be performing my surgery. Dr. Bruneteau was so kind and knowledgeable. I was nervous about what size implants to get, where the incision would be, and whether I would go under or over the muscle. Dr. B explained everything thoroughly and decided that 450 cc's would be perfect for my frame and would be "harmonious" with my body. I thought that was too big, but boy was I wrong! Dr. B picked the absolute PERFECT size for my body! The scar is under the fold of my breast and we went under the muscle. He gave me several "sizers" which you insert into your sports bra to see how big you wanna go, which helped put things into perspective greatly! They also take several pictures of your breasts (front and sides) and digitally enhance them to show you how you will look after implants. The side pictures helped the most for me! On the day of the actual procedure, I was instructed to wear compression socks and to wash myself with special soap the night before and the morning of surgery. The actual surgery was quick and the staff was very professional and hospitable. Dr. B saw me right before surgery and chatted with me which made me feel less nervous. When I woke up from the anesthesia, my chest felt like it had been punched hard several times. The nurse gave me more pain medicine through my IV before taking me to my caretakers car. I then went to Target with my caregiver to get my prescriptions and then went home to rest. All I really want people to know is that this is a MAJOR SURGERY that requires LOTS OF HEALING! I thought I would be out of work for a week and then everything would go back to normal. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up missing three weeks of work because you cannot lift anything over 5 lbs, you cannot raise your elbows above your shoulders, you cannot vacuum/mop, etc. for three weeks!! So unless you strictly have a desk job, expect to take 3 weeks off. Also, the pain meds made me constipated for the first 7 days of healing. I gained 11 lbs in 7 days!!! Thankfully on the 8th day my body started functioning again and I was able to lose those 11 lbs the following week by eating chicken salads and drinking green tea. Dr. B instructed me to not hit the gym until one month after surgery so I really focused on eating healthy during my recovery. You will want to stock up on well-supported sports bras that zip/close in the front. Rebook makes a phenomenal front zip sports bra at Dick's for about $50. (make sure its gonna be big enough to support the new girls!) Also, I had my caregiver stay with me for a week. You cannot do simple house chores like cooking and cleaning; you will need to take it very easy. I went back the following day to get my bandages off, and went back 2 weeks after that to get my stitches out. Every time I go back to Aesthetic Surgical Images I ALWAYS see Dr. B and he gives me a thorough update on what I need to do next and his opinion on how they are healing, which is nice because every individual heals differently, so he really focused on MY specific needs! I am now almost 4 weeks post off and I still cannot sleep on my side (my arm crushes my implant and makes it uncomfortable) but that is the only drawback now. My armpits are still a little sore but my breasts are giggly, large, proportionate, and my entire body looks better because of the implants! My waist looks smaller, my arms look dainty, and my chest looks so sexy and feminine...it totally transformed me. I would recommend Dr. Bruneteau to anyone and everyone; he is THE MAN!
