A Dream Come True - Omaha, NE
I've dreamed of breast implants for ten years...
4 weeks post op Mondor's Cord
Feedback from family and friends have all been positive so far. Even my grandmother, who swore my implants would be gigantic on me, thinks they look great. I'm not shy at all about letting my friends take a peek or a grope and more than one has been amazed by how great they look and how real they feel. My naturally large chested friends keep teasing me about how I've finally joined the dark side - I'm officially one of those women who immediately takes her bra off when she walks through the door after work! Haha. They've also been really supportive and I'm enjoying the random pieces of advice, from where to get the best large bras to ways to avoid the dreaded underboob sweat stains. I'm loving it!
The only 'set back' so far is the formation of a Mondor's Cord that I noticed today. I plan on calling my Doc in the morning to let him know and then keep an eye on it until it resolves. Warm compresses here I come!
Aaaaannnnd I forgot to add my stats: I'm 5'9 and 132lbs.
The ENTIRE staff is absolutely amazing. No doubt about it, if I could do it all over again I'd go back to see them every single time. During my first consultation, Kim was so warm, inviting and funny that I was instantly at ease. Even if I hadn't been so well informed after all my research, I still wouldn't have left that office with any questions. She made sure every possible aspect was covered thoroughly, made the awkwardness of having pictures taken a breeze and we had a blast trying on the sizers. When I went back a second time to meet with Dr. Finkle and make a final decision on my size, I was even more comforted by my decision to go to him for my surgery. He was very practical and straight forward about my size options with my small frame, which made it that much more reassuring because I knew he wasn't going to give me something so large it would cause complications just because I wanted to be big. I'm not going to lie, the day of surgery I was a terrified mess. But the staff was so amazing that any fear I had flew right out the door by the time I went back to do the procedure. Aftercare was fantastic and they had me out of there as quickly and smoothly as they said they would. I am so so impressed with Dr. Finkle and his staff. Everyone should go see Dr. Finkle if they're in the area to do so!
