I have wanted breast implants since I was about 20 years old. I have always put it off because it was too expensive, I didn't know where to go, I didn't want to be perceived as 'fake' or 'superficial' and I didn't think I could get the time off work that I needed for recovery. Now that I've been in my career for several years now, I decided that this was the time. The only thing really holding me back was where to go and how to make sure I had natural looking results. I came across Dr. Bruneteau on the internet and scheduled a consultation. I liked how thorough he was and how calm and collected he was, along with all of his experience and knowledge. After my consultation, I was sold on Dr. Bruneteau. I scheduled my appointment for a month later. Leading up to the surgery, I had severe anxiety and my blood pressure went through the roof. During this time, Dr. Bruneteau's staff worked with me extensively. I had weekly appointments to monitor my blood pressure and as follow ups to my primary care appointments. I really felt like they went the extra mile for me by doing this. I am now 6 weeks post-op and could not be happier with the results of my surgery. I have very natural looking breasts at the exact size I was hoping to achieve. As far as recovery goes - I really did not have any problems here. I did have one really bad day with pain - it was the 2nd day after surgery. I kept up with my pain meds though, and made it through that day. Showering and driving were exceptionally hard for me, along with getting dishes out of the cupboard. I had quite a bit of discomfort driving for about 2 weeks, but it was possible. I did notice quite a bit of swelling after driving for longer distances. Showering was just difficult, not so much painful. Trying to clean your body without full range of motion is tricky. For the most part though, within three to four days, I was pretty much back to my normal every day activities - cooking, cleaning, moving around the house, without much pain. At 6 weeks out, I have no pain and have resumed exercising. I could not thank Dr. Bruneteau enough for the perfect results. I could not be happier with my choice to have this surgery and I look forward to even better results in the next few months.

Congrats and thanks for sharing your story! What kind of implants did you get, how many CC's, under/over etc? Before/after pics?

Hello, thank you very much for sharing with us. I had had an appointment maybe a year ago with the Dr, now I wonder how many days should think that I need of rest, and please if you could explain the costs of the surgery. If you kindly tell me how the day of surgery was and how long time you had been in the clinic,,, Thanks again

I had my surgery on a Wednesday afternoon. I took off from work Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday and Thursday I slept most of the day - so I had very little discomfort. Friday I was up and moving around quite a bit - I also stopped taking my pain meds that day, so I was feeling pretty rough. By Monday when I went back to work - I was pretty much back to normal, with the exception of swelling and a lot of discomfort when trying to turn my steering wheel. For me - the four days of recovery was just right. As far as cost goes - I think I allotted about $6,000 TOTAL - that included the sports bras I had to buy, the compression socks, new bras and the surgery/anesthesia. About $500 - $1,000 of that was expenses beyond the surgery. As far as time went - it was just as the doctor had discussed with me. You come two hours prior to your surgery, then I believe the surgery was about 1.5 - 2 hours long and then I was in recovery for about an hour, I believe. This is all a little foggy. I do know that I was home by 4 that day and that my surgery started at noon. So - I was in the office from about 10A - 4P.

Thank you very much for giving of your time. You should know that I have many questions :) you needed exams before surgery? And you went to appointments after? I live a bit far from the clinic. For that reason I want to know everything. Thank You

I only had to have check ups prior to my surgery because my blood pressure spiked to a very unhealthy level prior to the surgery. Turns out it was mostly anxiety. However - they did monitor it and did give me an anti-anxiety med the morning of my surgery to get my blood pressure down to a level that they could perform surgery on. I had follow up appointments the morning after, one week after, 2 weeks after, 1 month after and 3 months after. I believe it is also suggested to have a 6 month and year follow up appointment. So - there are quite a few.
