WORTH IT
Dr. Edney did an amazing job I am so pleased with my results! Him and his staff was professional and compassionate! I interviewed numerous doctors and he stood out!! I definitely picked the right one!!! After the procedure If I felt something might not be right I would call and they would get me in immediately which shows he cares he never once made me feel like a nuisance lol which I was, because I am a hypochondriac!!! I have a smile on my face daily now and my confidence is coming back!! I couldn't thank him enough!!!

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

I had the surgery because I was constantly asked the lovely question are you pregnant, how far along are you, are you having a boy or a girl. This killed my confidence I can tell you now no one is going to ask that question again. Good results I truly just followed doctors instructions too a t. I never question his ability he was the doctor. I was walking a mile on the treadmill by 3 weeks post op at about 2.0 mph. I am now up too about a 3 mph and using 5lb weights and i am now 5 weeks post op. All my my regular activities are back to normal now except lifting i am suppose to be cautious and if it hurts don't do it.. I will say that this experience has been a whirl wind. let's talk a little bit about how I felt week too week. SO my first week I don't really remember it was like i was not even here.. Ha ha. Because I had to stay homebound for 2 weeks no car no nothing. I started to get really depressed. I felt like I was stuck in a gloomy house and bent over when walking and walking slow. I had my first shower at 2 weeks post op. That brought my spirits up a little. I was also granted driving privileges back so I was able to get outside and do some of my regular outings like sons baseball games. This helped with the depression that was sitting in, but i couldn't walk fast at all it took me four times as long as it usually would to get to point A to B.. At 3 weeks post op i was walking straight up still somewhat slow but straight and my swelling finally started to minimize. I retain water very easily so my swelling may be worse than others.. 4 and 5 weeks I feel like my normal self with just tightness and stretching feeling in my abs.. I still am numb in lots of places completely normal, but i am starting to slowly gain my feeling back. I hope this helps people with there decisions.

Congratulations on the new you! At how many days were your post-op appointments scheduled? My PS has my first appointment 10 days PO. Oh no, I will be there before that. "Look at this." "Is this ok?"

I saw my doctor the day after my surgery. then at 1 week post op. 2 weeks post op and then we jumped to 5 weeks post op. I also saw in between whenever i thought something was not right or weird or just questioned. I never asked to come actually in, but they insisted every time that i just be seen for safety reasons. I like that.

First off this was the best decision of my life!! Prior to surgery I was constantly depressed and mind couldn't think of anything else I thought about the way I looked 24/7 it consumed me!!! Now 1 year later I saw my befor wand after pics and my jaw dropped and tears flowed happy tears!! My doctor changed my life and my families!! My confidence is so much better my health is too cause I want to maintain this and improve it so I eat healthy and workout more than I ever have!! My husband started to workout and eat healthy he is now off all his medication!! My 2 children area knowing in suit as well!! So this changed me and my whole family for the best!! Was it painful sure it was!! Did it take along time to heal?? is 8 weeks long not when it changes your life!! I was doing crossfit 8 weeks post opt!! Let's just say I would do this all over again with the exact same doctor and office!! I would t have changed a thing!!
