I've gained back my lost 20 years...

My reason for seeking a tummy tuck was because of an umbilical hernia that was needing fixed for the 2nd time, that was huge and painful. I felt that having it fixed again, even with mesh, it wouldn't hold as long as my stomach muscles were split. Dr. Bruneteau advised me to have the general surgeon repair it once again with mesh and then he would do the repair work on the muscle, remove the heavy fat, basically rebuild me so I could have an inner core again. And just as I suspected, 2 months after the general surgeon repaired my hernia, Dr. Bruneteau found another one starting, that he had to fix. I did opt for the mommy makeover so that everything would be taken care of in one time, but here's the best part! I had low back issues for over 20 years, it did sideline me all the time when I wanted to do building projects etc. After the surgery, not only did I have stomach muscles that would support me bending over, lifting, getting up from deep squatting positions, but now I had NO back pain and it hasn't returned in 5 months. I attribute this to having muscles that actually support my structure. There's more! My digestive tract now works better, my colon isn't sluggish, my activity has gone through the roof, I can't wait to see what more I can do each day! who knew that having a hernia would make everything sluggish and keep you from an active lifestyle?
I feel put back together, I feel 20 years younger, I feel stronger, I move quicker, and I look better!
The after care was great, the recovery is time consuming, you do need help, and you do need the clinic to answer all phone calls, and be there when you need them. They provided all of this, my calls were returned within minutes even in off hours. They have you covered for everything. I loved Dr. Bruneteau's personality and caring attitude and his superior skills.
