I went in for my tummy tuck with the impression...

I went in for my tummy tuck with the impression not only would there be skin removal, but muscle repair and lipo of the flanks. When I woke, he had only done the skin removal and said I didn't need MR. I immediately had a pooch that bothered me. He kept telling me it would go away, and that it was swelling. It still hasn't and it's been almost 4 years. I am so embarressed about my stomach, that I actually paid money just to end up with this result. I have a new doctor that I adore doing my redo!! He said when he first looked at my abdomen, it was clear a muscle repair hasn't been done and it needs it. He also will revise my scar and make it lower and less visible and also that will help get rid of my vertical scar the first surgeon left me with that looks like a butt crack when I sit down! It sits just below my belly button. Also, the tissue around that vertical scar is soft and has always has a bruised tint to it. He will be doing lipo of my abdomen and flanks as well as transfer that fat to my butt. I am praying for amazing results this time!! I can't get anymore surgeries after this!!! I am tired of having to wear stuff to hide this pooch, even sucking in doesnt help nor no matter how much weight I lose. Form fitting clothes? Forget it! Underwear and bathing suits have to be high enough to cover the vertical scar and pooch to make it lay flat. I just hate it! So ready for this to be fixed!! I trusty current surgeon completely.. he helped me with my breasts already and am very happy with them!

You still looked really great before a revision. Thanks for sharing, Just had my first PS procedure 11/17' (TT) so I'm fresh out and curious as to what to expect.

I'm better a reader than a post er'. so far I'm just feeling a bit like chopped salad w/ scabs still in place & belly button in a place where I don't recall it being (no... not bad, just weird to see). I was a PLUS sized person before wt loss. I'll use your pics as some inspiration. thx again

Getting closer

Okieblues87
I am so excited for my surgery next month! I pray my results are what I’ve only dreamed of having since the thought of having my stomach fixed after my two pregnancies and with a failed first tummy tuck... it does make me a lot more anxious about the results. I workout daily, and have really pushed even harder since scheduling my surgery so I can be in as great of shape possible by the time I have my surgery!! The photo I posted is from last week... my jeans or any pants I wear always have to be right at the pooch to press it down. And my underwear also has to be higher and more spandex-y to keep it down and from my front butt to show (where my vertical scar is). I’ll try and take better photos of my back/butt and stomach the weekend before my surgery for “pre” comparisons :)

Suggestions..?

I have been reading a lot of reviews and I am just curious what are the absolute necessities for BBL recovery? Definitely looking into the bopee pillow. Also, I’ve seen where many are told not to lay on their backs... given I am having an abdominal revision, I’m not sure what the best way will Be for me to rest?m since I won’t be able to lay on my stomach either.
