4 weeks post op...
WORTH IT$7,800
I've been doing pretty well these last few weeks! I took my nose on a whirlwind trip to DC and Chicago last week...overall I felt okay with all the walking I did, I took it easy when my nose started pounding. I've had a couple small nosebleeds, I did have a really hard sneeze one day I definitely couldn't control it! The other time I attribute to the dry air on the planes. The pain I was experiencing is now gone...not to be gross but I still have big boogies that occasionally block me up, I spray some saline and blow a little and that tends to help. I go in for a check up next week, I hope I'm all good! Can't believe time has just flown by!!

just adding some pics! 10 days post op...bruising is very minimal now. I found that crying hard or laughing hard hurts and I experienced my first sneeze since the surgery it felt so weird and slightly hurt! My columella is still really swollen so my nostrils look uneven. A couple sutures came out yesterday...i have a couple left poking me inside my nose. My skin is really dry and scaly around where the tape and cast were, I've tried every moisturizer I could find here and nothing has helped that. The skin on my nose is peeling kinda like skin peels after a sunburn. It doesn't hurt it's just annoying. I can't breathe pretty well through both my nostrils! Feels so good!!!
I'm extremely pleased with the results! Dr Wayne achieved exactly what he said he would do, couldn't have asked for a better result honestly!
Forgive the look in my pics, just took them after working 10 hours and I looked ragged haha

Day 7 post op!
Wow 7 days really flies by! Recovery overall wasn't too bad...I'm really glad to be done with the norco, not a fan of it at all! I can breathe through my nose just a little bit. My nose did become really irritated by the bacitracin ointment. I got my cast and stitches off this morning! The stitches hurt!!!! My eyes teared up. I go back in 4 weeks for a check up. My swelling and bruising aren't bad...I still liken myself to a character from Avatar though lol
I'm really pleased with the outcome!

You're looking great! Your bruising looks like it is almost gone....what a difference a week makes! Just wanted to touch base and tell you I am still thinking about you.
Need more pics!! I want to see your profile! How is having the cast off finally?
I'll definitely put up some more pics! Feels good without the cast...my nose and surrounding areas are still super tender! I can breathe through both nostrils most of the day, once the swelling goes does more I hope that it continues to improve
I can't wait to have mine off! So what all did he do for your nose exactly? With mine he shaved the bump down and then had to break my nose as well which is why I am so purple. He reduced the tip and also brought my nose in and up. Along with that I had the septoplasty and turbinate reduction, I am wondering how our noses differ. My surgery also was 4 hours like yours though.
Very similar surgeries! I think the only difference was that I had some septal bone spurs and I'm not sure about my turbinates he didn't mention that to me. He broke my bones too...but my bruising really tapered off a few days before I got my cast off. The cast removal is slightly uncomfortable, the ear stitches came out first...then a nasty tasting liquid was poured on it to loosen it. Charity came in and removed the cast, which felt like a lot of pressure then she removed the tip stitches which hurt!! Unfortunately my mom got to see my new nose before me lol but the look on her face told me it looked great!
I am counting down the days to getting all this stuff off my face!! Did you clean your nose quite often? I hope I have cleaned it enough that my stitches have somewhat dissolved. Also did your nose drain? I am constantly having to gently wipe my nose because it is draining clear/light yellow liquid. Kinda Tmi sorry lol
I cleaned it 4x a day! My nose drained a bit...still is now! It's clear as well...I blew my nose the other day with permission (blow without plugging a nostril) and got a lot of what was plugging me up! I just carry a tissue to catch it
I am so glad there is someone out there who understands my struggles and will openly talk snot rockets with me hahahaha!
Can't wait to see more pics! Thanks for sharing your journey. I had met Dr. Wayne and he is awesome!
He is! I really liked him a lot, and he delivers! While it's best to maintain expectations, he did great! Really happy I chose him!
Thank you! I'm sorry I thought I replied to your post the other night! Time has passed so quickly...I coming up on 2 weeks post op! So crazy!
