49 Years with Hereditary Droopy Lids

I’ve known since I was 30 that I’d end up getting my eyelids done. My moms eyes are really droopy and as much as I love her, I wasn’t going to let nature take its course with me. I first went to Dr. Brou in 2015 for my blepheroplasty consult and he said two words, “Renee Zellwinger”. I knew I only have one good shot at fixing the eyelids so I went home and waited another two years. In mid November of 2017 I went back for a 2nd consultation and Dr. Brou agreed that it was time. I booked and paid at the earliest available surgical date and was so giddy with excitement! Wednesday I woke up ready to meet Dr. Brou and Yvonne, his nurse. The procedure was done in office under local anesthetic and didn’t hurt one bit. None of this procedure has hurt. No pain, Zilch, nada, zero! I’ve taken only one pain pill and that was preimptivelyvthe first day upon my return home and I didn’t even need it. Motrin would have been just fine. I’m on day 2 now and I’m not taking anything. I iced religiously the first 16 hours pist surgery and that was more uncomfortable than the surgery itself. I hate cold things like ice! I do wish I had bought an extra freezer ice mask so I could have rotated them out but I used the in between time to catch up on life with my vision. Overall, this procedure was inexpensive, quick, pain-free, and with great results! I’m glad I waited till I really needed it but I’m also glad I didn’t wait any longer. I highly recommend Dr. Brou and his skilled staff.
