Sientra 350cc anatomical upgrade for my 28 y/o girls ;) - Oklahoma City

UPDATED FROM Kat BA

6 mo prego, ~6 mo post op

WORTH IT$5,400
I am overdue for an update! I have honestly just been really distracted with being pregnant! Ha.

Anyway, I am almost 25 weeks pregnant & I never got around to calling my surgeons office to let them know hubby knocked me up just a couple of weeks post op ha. My surgeon will probably be in for quite a surprise when I go in for my 6 month post op appointment at the end of this month.

Now for the boobs.. The 1st trimester brought with it some extreme sensitivity. I know sensitive is to be expected in early pregnancy, but I'm pretty sure being fresh off the BA operating table took things to a different level. The water in the shower was intolerable for a long time & my poor husband was probably thinking he was never going to get to enjoy my new additions.

During the first trimester & the beginning of the 2nd, my boobs grew substantially. At one point hubby said they were seriously getting bigger every day ha. It has made for quite an extreme change for me since I really hadn't even grown accustomed to my post op boobs yet! On the bright side, once I told people at work I'm pregnant I no longer felt the need to continue the extreme downplay of my now full chest. I can just blame it on the pregnancy! I think the growth has kind of paused for the last few weeks. I've been told they'll grow more in the 3rd trimester though. I've definitely already grown a full cup size.

I forget how much they've grown & the other day I looked at my post op photos & I look so tiny! If my size goes all the way back down I will probably feel like I have small boobs again. I don't particularly want to stay as big as I am now though.

The sensitivity is way better at this point, but my nipples are still overly sensitive. Is that normal at this point in pregnancy? Also, my boobs are now mapped by blue superhighways of veins. Apparently this is normal in pregnancy, but it's less than appealing.

In general I'm still not happy with my shape. Even though I have filled out so much more, I am still conical. This was the thing I pretty much hated the most about my breasts pre op, & I feel that I was very clear about that. I am certainly much improved, but it is still an issue. No way will I wear a tank top w no bra & feel that I have nice breasts. :( I wonder often if I shouldn't have gone w a round implant. It's just so hard to know how that would have looked w my tuberous breasts & no benelli lift.

While I'm on that topic, post op I was initially very happy I didn't go through w the benelli to trim down my areoles. Now that my boobs are much bigger, I do feel they've stretched some. Also, I generally think it would've improved my shape. My areoles are a little puffy & it exaggerated my pointy shape. Also, I am already sagging significantly compared to prior to the pregnancy growth. Of course at this point I have no way of knowing how much any of these things will go back to the way they were initially post op.

To be clear, I had no intentions of getting pregnant within a year of my BA. Apparently God had different plans for us though. I don't regret or resent getting pregnant when I did though. It has just changed what my recovery looked like. I knew someday in the somewhat near future we'd want kids & that it would change my boobies anyway. It's just a little unfortunate that I really can't know what they would've truly looked like! Not a big deal though.

Btw I am having a boy. His daddy is very happy he's getting a little sidekick. :)

Hiya Stranger! Yes, your update is long, long overdue! lol It is so good to see you here and share pics of your progress with us. I think you look beautiful. You're just beautiful no matter what you do.

I've never had kids, so I will refrain from answering pregnancy questions, and how much any of the changes you are experiencing with the pregnancy will go back to the way they were initially post op; however, I would like to say, if you plan to have more breast surgery in the future, do nothing with your breasts until you are completely done having children. You mentioned wanting kids (plural), therefore, I'd enjoy the joys of motherhood and worry about your breasts later. Breasts are so insignificant compared to giving birth and raising a child. You still look beautiful and may not need anything done at all. Never, ever fix what is not broken!

A little boy, eh? ;-) Please keep us updated. I couldn't be happier for you sweetie! Muah xoxoxo
Thanks! Yes, I will definitely wait. I have no intentions of doing anything else to them anytime soon. For one thing, I was not a fan of the recovery! Ha. The first couple of days post op were definitely worse than I had originally thought they'd be. I also can't imagine going through that while trying to care for a toddler! I'm sure once I've recovered from birth my focus will be making efforts to get my pre-baby body back. That should be enough of a project in & of itself! :)
Good to hear it, Kat! You sound like a level-headed and strong woman! I'm so, so happy for you. I doubt you'll have a tough time getting back your pre-baby body. For a woman who is 6 months preggo, you look flipping fantastic! You're a beautiful, slender, pregnant woman! Bless your heart...xoxo
Thanks girl! :)
omg your baby "BUMPS" look adorable and sexy as every girl!! lol congrats and good luck in the coming months!!
Thank you!
You look great! Don't be self-critical. I also kinda struggled with the general shape of my breasts before BA, and so now that I've got bigger ones that are kinda the same shape I've caught myself saying "I wish the aug would've change my shape" but still I LOVE MINE and yours look great. When I was pregnant (before my BA, 6 years ago) my boobs were never exactly the same either. Most women have one that makes more milk, one that gets more engorged, etc. And yes I agree with above, don't worry about what your boobs look like now, until you're done having kids, then deal with fixing something if you need to. My BFF had an aug and two kids and they still looked great, she didn't nurse though, let me mention that. But, especially if you nurse you will NOT care what they look like until after, the experience is so amazing, you just don't care about yourself, you care about your baby. And if you don't nurse, that's fine too!. So don't stress, enjoy being a mommy and having an amazing figure, even pregnant! :) You are blessed, trust me.
You look great!! Please keep us updated how pregnancy affects your breasts! I'm planning more kids and am terrified on what it will do to my very expensive investment! Congrats mama!
Kay- congratulations!! I hope you are doing great! Thank you SO much for posting updates of pregnancy boobs too.. My husband and I are really want to have kids now but I know if I don't have BA now, it will probably be several more years after babies before I consider this again. I'm having surgery early this June and plan on trying to start a family next spring.. I would love to hear how you are doing! Wishing you all the best :)

Surprise! Big changes ahead

I'm not really sure the best way to relay this "story", so I apologize in advance for any rambling.. The night before last, I didn't eat well.. I woke up yesterday morning feeling a bit queasy. Not unheard of when I get way too hungry. I went ahead & ate something small as soon as I got up, & felt a lot better. Just before lunch, I had a huge wave of nausea that felt awful. I looked for some Pepto in the office unsuccessfully & settled for Tums. We had a special lunch planned for our administrative professional & while i felt better, I still had a hard time deciding on what sounded good. I went w a bland turkey wrap & managed to eat about 4 bites of it. This is very unlike me. I love food.. Like REALLY.

After lunch I started feeling worse again. A kind soul went to a nearby store & brought me some Pepto. I felt better & managed to stomach a package of crackers a Sprite & go about my afternoon in a much better state.

I got home & didn't feel great, so I took a Zantac thinking maybe it was my acid reflux. I layed down for a bit & woke up 5 hours later still feeling puny. I went for some Greek yogurt, thinking how empty my tummy must be, then suddenly managed to lose its entire contents in the kitchen sink.

Texted my husband & told him I was sick & didn't know why. I asked him to pick something up for me on his way home from work. At this point I was starting to think pregnancy could be a possibility. I just never get sick like that. I took the test he bought me on his way home.

Much to my surprise, I'M PREGNANT! omg. I couldn't believe it at first. I think I'm still just taking it in. We weren't sure if I could get pregnant or not. I have been off bc for 3.5 years & obvi no baby. We have never "tried" though. Ironically, the one time during this period that I really didn't particularly want to get pregnant l.. wanted to let the girls settle in for a while, and BAM!

Sooo, I'm just over 5.5 weeks post op, & I think about 5 weeks pregnant. Wow. Obviously, it's still super early, & a lot can go wrong. So, we are only telling our closest family & friends for a while. I wanted to share here though, bc I'm sure many women wonder how their body (breasts!) would handle something like this. I guess I'll be your guinea pig! The funny thing is, my surgeon made a comment to me about, "let's just try not to get pregnant for a while." Of course I thought it wouldn't be an issue! If this doesn't tell you how much my husband loves my new boobs, I don't know what would! :-p

Ahhhh!!! Congrats!! That's SO exciting!! We were just having this conversation, and low and behold you were preggo when we spoke about it!! Lol that's amazing so happy for you!! I've had friends that had implants before their babies and they never had problems and they still looked great after! How crazy is it you got preggo immediately after surgery! Lol congrats again!!
Thank you! ;)
Yayyy!!! That's awesome, congrats love!!
Thank you!!
Congratulations Kat! I'm so happy for you both!!
Thank you!
Wow!! Congratulations!! So exciting for you and your husband. I'm sure your boobies will handle everything fine. Take good care of yourself!
Thank you! I hope so! Of course at this point I feel selfish even thinking about that, but I'd be lying if I said i don't think about it occasionally. Right now I'm just ready to get passed this awful nausea!
Wonderful news, Kat! Congratulations! I am so happy for you. Any boob greed you may have suffered is now going to become a reality. ;-) All my best to you and your husband...xoxo YAY!! A baby on the way!!!!
Lol! Thank you! That's definitely one way to look at it I suppose. I certainly had no plans for this to happen so soon after surgery, but God has his own plans for us. :) Now just hoping to get rid of this awful nausea & have a safe pregnancy.

Cosabella bras

I had a nice summary of all my stats pre & post op typed up to include w this update, then my page reloaded & it all disappeared. *sigh* another day then.

I am so excited about a couple of bras that I bought though that I have to share! They are sheer, unlined Cosabella bras. Never in a million years would have been caught dead in such bras preop! They are soft, beautiful, & flattering though. I bought this one in the picture, & a mint green one w yellow ruffles & got matching panties. The mint one seems a lot more sheer since it doesn't have a pattern. I love them & so does my hubby! ;-) I honestly feel like the photo does not do it justice how flattering it is, but that could just be me having an overinflated self-boob-image at this point though too. :-p. Anyone else tried Cosabella bras? I want to try the bralettes now too.

I forgot to mention, these are size 36C
I hope my page won't reloaded :) You look super gorgeous!! And the cleavage with the tank is perfect! I am almost the same size and anatomical too and need some new bra asap, can't wait to shop some cute bra. I never tried those bras, but I've just checked the collection and they have gorgeous things. I was wondering as I am 1 month post op in 3 days, if you still have pain, pressure in your boobs? I'm starting getting anxious cos I do... :(
Thank you! I don't have constant pain or pressure, but I do have twinges from time to time & soreness after laying flat for a long time. When is your next post op appointment? If it's enough that it's concerning to you I'm sure you could call your surgeon's office to speak with them about it.
yes, I just called the office, I will see my PS tomorow afternoon. I'm worried, maybe it's nothing, maybe it's a bit longer to feel normal again but it's better to have my surgeon to check. I hope I don't have any "coque" I don't know how we say this in english... you know it's a rejection, when you have to take away the implants cos it's making a hard bubble around the implant .. bouuuuuuuhou no way!
Aww. I am confident for you that you won't have any case so extreme as that. I think you may be referring to what we call capsular contracture (CC). That is where the scar tissue around the implant pocket hardens & gets very tight. Even if that is the case, there are usually options to correct it without removing the implants. From what I've read, i think CC can result in implant removal of it is caused by an infection, & even in those cases I think once infection is cleared the implants can be replaced. I'm sure that you will get a good report, but it's definitely better to go ahead & get checked out again!
Wow, Kat, you look stunning. Look at all your cleavage! I almost wish I would have went anatomical. You look sensational!
Thank you! I think yours are perfect for you Lynn! I'm sure you'll be totally convinced of that as well once you can get back to normal bras & regular activities. :)
MUahhhhhhh ... higs and kisses beautiful lady! Thank you so much!
How are you feeling?
Hi Kat! I'm feeling great! I only get occasional twinges of discomfort, & sometimes I still have a little soreness still after laying flat for a few hours during a nap or in the morning. My nipples are still sensitive but that has gotten a lot better over the past week or so.
You look great. Did yo go with the round base or classical?
Thanks! Mine are the classic base :)
Thanks for letting me know. I am planning to go with the classic base. Do you like them? I am hoping for a natural look. do they give you the natural look you were hoping for?
They really do! My husband has even said that it's questionable if I even had anything done. I feel like the size they are makes it to where I can play them up or downplay them to where I look nearly the same as I did with a padded bra before. I'm 99% sure that no one at my office has a clue I got a boob job. Part of me wishes I'd have gone a tad bigger, but then maybe it would be too hard to "hide" them, or I'd get saggy sooner. Who knows! When is your surgery?
I do kind of wish they were a little wider for a little more cleavage. I have a very wide chest & breast width though to be a petite person.
My surgery is in June, and I am going with a small implant (240cc). I am 5'5" and 108lbs, and my chest is on the smaller side. I am hoping to end up with a B cup. I was always an A cup (34A), but after 2 kids, I am down to just basically a flat chest with a nipple. I am hoping for a natural look. Are you happy with the classic base implants you got? Do you like the shape of your breast?
