Finally got to look!

Looking good!! I couldn't be happier with how forgiving my body is being. Today I finally took my sports bra off and the wrapping under it. I have to leave the clear dressings in place until my post op appointment in a couple days. I filled the bath tub up to my waist and gave myself a sponge bath careful not to get the tape wet. As expected, I'm flatter and smaller than before my augmentation, but I'm being patient with my breasts while they try to un-smash themselves. My nipples aren't as sunken in as they were the first few days. I have zero upper pole, but have faith that it will return in time. I'm moving around normally today and have a decent amount of energy. I slept on my sides the past couple nights so that helped me get good sleep. I've had headaches from the anesthesia and I was also constipated for a few days from the anesthesia as well. I'm wearing a tight compression-like spandex cami to relieve tension on the skin while it tries to retract. Each day I'm feeling more and more like myself and haven't regretted my decision at all. So glad I explanted!

Being patient as my body heals

Still doing well! Today I had a headache from the anesthesia a few days ago. I've camped out in bed for the last few days, been watching lots of movies, and sleeping a lot. I'm still wrapped up with the bandages and compression bra. The swelling has gone down. Taking Bromelain and Arnica have helped a lot with bruising/swelling. Be prepared to look even flatter after the swelling fades. I'm looking forward to fluffing over the next several weeks/months. But I'm being patient with my body while it heals. I'm looking forward to my post-op appointment in a few days so the dressings can come off. My left one is bloodier than my right, but I called the nurse and she said blood is normal and to be expected. I hope everyone else's recoveries are going good as well!

Feeling good

Surgery was yesterday and so far so good! I've been sleeping a lot since surgery. I'm still wrapped up so I don't have any photos yet of my bare chest but I can already see improvement from yesterday when I peek down inside. I don't regret my decision at all. My shoulders and neck have been instantly looser and I feel like I can also breathe again. My breasts feel so warm and soft, instead of hard and cold. Though I'm flat as a board and a little sunk in, I couldn't be happier. The pain has been nothing compared to getting them put in. Except for the pain meds the hospital put in me, I've only taken Motrin and the only thing that hurts are the incisions. My body feels so very relieved. I will have pictures soon for you ladies. I'm pleasantly surprised though, I have no wrinkly or loose skin. Just waiting for them to fluff back up. They're already less flat than yesterday which is pleasantly surprising too. I've been thinking positively and my body is reacting positively to it. I truly believe if we are kind to our bodies, our bodies will be kind to us in return. Once I shower in a day or so, I'll be able to take pictures. I'm so happy to be the old me again!! :)
