WORTH IT
Over the past 7 months, I have seen Dr Shortt for 2 procedures - breast implant removal, followed by breast augmentation using fat transfer (separate procedures). Dr Shortt is an amazing surgeon. His professionalism, perfectionism in his work, his bedside manner and not to mention his sense of humour are all on point. He never tries to "up sell" and truly listens. His assistant, Joanne, is excellent.
From my first consult to my post-op after care, the experience has been exceptional.

if you remove implants do you have to wait for a certain amount of time to have fat transfer

It is technically possible but not recommended. I waited 4 months from when I had my implants removed to when I had the fat transfer. Prior to removal, I was sure I needed a lift. But after waiting for the 4 months, it turns out I did not. Had I not waited, I would have had a unnecessary procedure. Plus, the transferred fat needs a good healthy blood supply to establish itself. Waiting between procedures, allows the surrounding tissue to heal thus increasing the chances for the fat survival.

Thank you for sharing. I am also doing a fat transfer with Dr. Shortt, except mine is to one breast to correct asymmetry. May I ask how you are doing now? How much fat do you think retained?
