My whole life I've been insecure about my forehead. Like many of people here, I can't go swimming, do activities that include the wind and my hair styles are very limited. I'm tired of wearing hats to the gym and I hate it that I can't pull my hair up. I'm finally going to have surgery this December! I'm ver nervous and don't know how I feel about it. I constantly have second thoughts. I know it's going to be worth it! But can anyone give me a few tips on what to expect and how to prepare for this. What worked for you and what didn't? How long was your healing process? Did you have a lot of pain? How much hair did you lose? Etc. I would really appreciate all of your feedback!!

Hardly no pain, but tons of hair loss and shedding, which is permanent. Had it with Kabaker a few years ago.

Hey! Shoot me a message and I'll share with you my experience. I had it with Dr. Kabaker as well and I actually live in San Francisco, just across the bridge from Oakland. No hair loss/shedding. The pain wasn't terrible, but the itching as my scalp/nerves healed was awful. It's been 2.5 years since I had it done and I'm so glad I went through with it - and that I had Dr. Kabaker do it. Even so, my scalp doesn't have full sensation, often itches but scratching doesn't relieve the itching, and sometimes feels like it burns a bit. Anyway, please inbox me. Would love to share more.

I am also planning to go with kanaker this November... This coming monday I will do the consulation, when I consider the hair loss I have second thoughts... This is something I've been thinking since I am like 10 years old, I didn't know this surgery existed! Sometimes I am happy to be decided and the next day I think I don't want to lose my hair in the front... Maybe that could be worse.. I don't know what to do, my forehead is 7 cm and I have very thin hair, although I have a good quantity! Looking forward to have the consulation with kabaker this monday, any advice will be great!

Me too I have extremely thin hair and I don't have a lot of hair. I am afraid that this is going to make my situation worse, but I have decided that I am going to move forward with this procedure.
