I had my lower facelift with Dr. Gilbert Tresley 3 years ago. I have waited this long to write a review because I was hoping for my situation to get better. It only consistently gets worse! Pre-surgery Dr. G. Tresley took his time to explain all aspects of my procedure. He is very kind and he made me feel comfortable with my upcoming surgery. My surgery went well, then the bandages came off. I know one can not get nervous at this point, however, after 3 years, I am still left with very loose skin under my chin. This was not there prior to surgery. In a post visit, Dr. Tresley said, "Sometimes it takes 2 times to get it all!"
The reason that comment did not set well with me was the reason why I chose my review title.
When I returned for one of my post-ob visits, 1 1/2 years ago, I expressed that my numbness is not going away. He said that was unusual and if it has not gone away, it won't, and left it at that! I expressed I was extremely uncomfortable and the more time passed the more agony I experienced.
I had also expressed to him that as the day progresses, I felt as if my face was getting tighter and tighter, to the point of hurting. Thank goodness, I would, and still do, get relief when I lie down. He told me that is my face swelling as the day progresses. This will happen for the rest of my life!!!! Do all his patients go through this because they too swell in the course of a day???
My life has been adversely affected by this surgery. My face is so uncomfortable by late afternoon, the tightness is unbearable, all I want to do is be in bed! Not the life I had planned for a very active retiree. Laying down helps to relieve the pressure until I get up again, the next morning.
I was told at my last visit, a year ago Spring, to call again, the Dr. always sees his patients through until the end. I called this past August, left a message with an assistant that I was still extremely, extremely, uncomfortable. She told me she is sure Dr. Tresley will want to talk with me. She will give him the message. To this date, 3 months later, no one has returned my call! I am not surprised!
I am very disappointed in the manner in which Dr. Tresley has treated myself and my case. At this point, I do not know what my options are.
I hope I have helped someone make their decision of who NOT to choose! I am just very sorry it took me so long to post this review. I would really hate if just one more person ended up like I did!
