I was interested in getting my pre baby body back. So I went to Dr. Schulman for a consult. I didn't have a good experience with the Dr. Or his staff. He wasn't thorough with answering questions. I went back as a result to have more questions answered and he charged me another consult fee. The receptionist is really a bitter person who has a chip on her shoulder and doesn't inspire one to take care of themselves as she is outwardly and personality wise an unpleasant person. There are real proffesional and caring plastic surgeons and office staff in the NYC area as I have Consulted with a few before choosing the right one and dr. Schulman's office isn't one of them.

I was going to go to him to however I've read other comments that he was over the top expensive and the staff was rude. I went up to NJ. Some doctors lose their bedside manners and their compassion for their patients. Good luck to you!

I had BBL with Dr Schulman last year. I will agree with you completely with regards to his receptionist. She was difficult and curt at her best. While I liked Dr. Schulman and my results are good they are not perfect. I still have a small roll of fat in mid back that wasn't fully removed above the scoop that makes me crazy and doesn't look nice without clothes on. I showed him one year later and he told me its still swelling and if he did do lipo again he would end up scarring me....? really...? (guess I wouldn't want him to do that....?) Ive been to 4 consults since for hernia repair and all Dr.s have agreed that the area just above buttocks has been aggressively liposuction which causes a cut off if there is fat left above it which there is, although little it makes a huge difference. I think overall I've had a great improvement although a little more attention to details I might have seen perfection. Anyone considering him will be in excellent hands safety wise and good fat retention if you follow his post op schedule. Just look closely at his before and after pictures because he does a lot of scooping which can cause an unnatural looking results in my opinion. especially if there is a little fat left above that it almost looks like a roll. I still need to tweak mine to maybe "fill in" aggressive scoop and remove small saddle bag (side) area that is very small but makes me still look square ish from behind. Having said this I still don't know of any other Dr. as experienced in BBL in NYC area..... I still like my results very much, It just could have been a home run with a little extra attention.
