Clear and Brilliant Permea (different hand piece from regular clear and brilliant) targeting pigmentation. I had 6 sessions about a month apart. I was hoping to improve my age/brown spots and make my pores less noticeable. The improvement is very subtle. The brown spots are less pronounced but still there and the skin on my nose is slightly smoother/pores tighter but for $400/session (6th session free) not sure it is worth it. I wanted to avoid hydroquinone but I think hydroquinone would have done a better job along w a stronger retinoid (then my current Differin).

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. When did you start your treatments? Are you going to try an alternative treatment?

I had my first Permea session in the summer and didn't see any improvement but decided to do a cumulative series (5) beginning in November. The treatments were anywhere from 3 weeks to 5 weeks apart. The clear and brilliant laser is technique sensitive. The studies on the Permea consist of 8 passes on the skin. Another article states that 10-12 is necessary to see improvement. I had at least 6 passes and more on the problem areas. I have started hydroquinone w retinoid and will do so for about a month

My skin is very reactive now to new products. Even moisturizers with no active ingredients. i break out into large pimples w any trentinoin whereas before C&B, my skin was able to tolerate that. Same w hydroquinone. I rediscovered Differin, the only retinoid I am able to tolerate. My skin is drier nowadays, not sure if that has to do w age or C&B. Looking back C&B was not worth it. Results did not last and highly contributed to my now reactive skin. Very very $$$ for little results.

I love clear and brilliant (permia) I was told to do it with the Zein obagi system of melanin and Melamex and it works beautifully with a mild retain A. Pls Try that and wear tons of sin block

Thx for the advice. Unfortunately the only retinoid I can tolerate is Differin. I also have developed an allergy to hydroquinone. Atm I am using skinmedica lytera 2.0 pigment w Differin and have completed my first session w Picosure. Clear and brilliant did not make a big enough difference to justify the high price tag. I have seen slight progress after first pico sure session. Will post a review after I complete 4.

I also wear sunscreen religiously and reapply often . I shy away from the sun and always wear a large sun hat .

do you feel your skin got thinner or if you had volume loss from c&b? i have asian skin and i feel like c&b caused fat loss and my skin looks thinner

I am 44 now and I don’t have fat loss on my face. I have maintained my weight . My skin is thinner because of my age and I wouldn’t necessarily source it to the laser . No significant thinning after c&b
