Scar Revision

Okay, so I had a scar revision on 4 July, and I think it looks pretty good but it is still bandaged.

Minor Scar Revision for Incision Line

I decided on minor scar revision because although my results were almost perfect, the incision line was affected by the minor case of necrosis at the tension midpoint beneath the navel. I had this incision at the skin/fat layer only last week, and the results are perfect. I have a tiny, perfect scar now. My stomach looks amazing. I will keep you updated with pictures when the bandages are removed next week.

After two c-sections I knew that I would never be...

After two c-sections I knew that I would never be able to have a flat stomach. I had recently lost weight and then regained it, but honestly, when I lost the weight my stomach was still hanging and ugly. I knew then that a tummy tuck was my only option. After researching, I decided on Nuremberger Klinik here in Nuremberg, Germany. Dr. Gunter and Dr. Baetge informed me that a lipoabdominoplasty would be necessary to truly get the results I wanted. I had the surgery, and spent five days in the hospital, as that is standard care at the Nuremberger Klinik, with 24 hour nurse care. This was a very invasive and intense surgery, using VASER liposuction and abdominoplasty. I slept in a recliner for a month following surgery (no exaggeration), and it took 6 weeks until I was fully standing up. My doctor said he removed 4 kg of fat, which is nearly 10 pounds. He was very proud of my case. It was a long recovery with some medical difficulty, including a little necrosis at the site of one of my drains. It hurt. A LOT. More than my two C-sections, easily. It was an 8/10 on the pain scale, no kidding. My doctors saw me daily for the first two weeks, as that was the care they said I required. They then saw me once a week for the next month, and once a month for the first four months. During my healing, I used a silicone strip across the length of my scar, and I used Bio Oil and Palmer's Body Oil with Rose Hips for about three months following surgery, and on and off after that. I also used a medication two weeks before surgery and two weeks after called Curetin (not sure if available in the US). My doctors were thrilled at my progress. Pictures don't lie. I have nearly no scars where the side scars are. Prior to surgery my entire lower abdomen was covered in faded stretch marks. I have only about 1 inch by 3 inch patch of stretch marks remaining now. I have a tummy I NEVER had in my entire adult life. Even after moderate weight gain after a year, I am still happy with my results.
