Back to work day!!
Ok it's Monday November 3rd, my procedure was October 29th. I'll give a run down of how it's been going. My swelling finally kicked in late Friday and with the swelling and bruising it doesn't even look like I had Aqua Lipo lol. It's weird bc your skin is numb but there is soreness underneath the skin. My stomach is hard kinda like when your bloated.
I put off a shower as long as I possibly could, I was really afraid I wouldn't be able to get the garment back on. BUTTTTT I couldn't stand it any longer and showered Saturday. I had an extra garment so I didn't have to wait around while the other washed and dried. I had to take a pretty cold shower because my stomach and sides just couldn't take the warm water. It was nice to be clean again but I had to have my husband help me get my garment back on, I hated that, I hate to have to ask for help but I just couldn't do it.
Something I noticed when putting my other garment on was that it was a size Medium. I would never have picked that size for myself I would of gone with a Large or XL. I thought they had made an error and given me a Medium by accident but I'll be damned if the other garment wasn't a Medium also. I guess they want it really tight to squish you back together, and honestly it is uncomfortable being out of the garment, everything feels loose or not right I can't really explain it.
I go back to work this morning and I'm a little worried, I don't have a desk job so I'm up and down a lot walking bending lifting. It is hard to bend down to pick up something, to put shoes on whatever. I'm just going to take it easy I guess, take my time.
I still feel that all will pay off and be worth it in the long run it's just going to take some time to heal. The Nubody staff has been great , checking on me numerous times and answering my questions promptly.
I go for my one week ck up Friday and was told if I still have significant swelling they will give me a steroid shot to bring it down. As far as photos go, if I am given copies of my before and after shots I may post them idk. Like I said before having to be photographed nude was mortifying for me. I honestly don't understand the naked shelfie craze.

I am posting this review because I have not seen...
I am posting this review because I have not seen many reviews from average size women. I believe the American woman's average size is a 12 - 14. I am a size 10 and had aqua lipo done to my upper and lower abs and my love handles. This procedure was done by Dr. Conner at Nubody Concepts in Memphis TN. I won't be posting any photos simply because to me, getting photographed naked by strangers was the worst part of the whole procedure.
I went in at 7:30am October 29th (yesterday). I was taken to the surgery room given a rundown of what wld happen during the procedure, shown the equipment and given my meds. After taking the meds they take your before pictures (worst part for me because you are naked) then let you lay down to relax and wait for the medicine to kick it. I was honestly so nervous the meds didn't seem to work well on me and by 8:30 I was still a jittery bundle of nerves. I was given another pain pill and some kind of red liquid stuff to help calm me down.
The procedure started about 9:00am
and the meds had kicked in some but I was still pretty awake. I asked for a towel to cover my face because I didn't want to see blood. Some parts of the procedure didn't hurt much at all while other parts made me very squirmy, i moved around a lot and they had to tell me numerous times to be still. I couldn't help it, it hurts. They say there are people that have this done with no pain meds so that they can drive themselves home. I would not recommend that. Maybe because the meds didn't kick in for me or maybe I am just a wimp but there is no way I cld go with no meds.
Ok moving on, when they are all done they wipe you off and bandage your little incisions then help you get your compression garment on and get dressed. I really don't remember that very well, when it's over my stupid meds kick in lol.
I live a little over an hour away so I laid down in the back of our truck and slept while my husband, who is awesome and so supportive, drove us home.
You are supposed to change your bandages as soon as you get home but I was so out of it I grabbed some ice packs and went to bed. I changed my dressings about 10:00 that night. I did not take my compression garment off, I just undid it pulled it up just far enough to change dressings. I managed to do all of them myself except the ones kinda in the back I cldnt reach them and I was a bit woozy. I had to stop about half way through for a break because blood makes me all light headed and gross.
I got up once last night to swap ice packs and take a pain pill, I have no idea what time that was. This morning I changed my dressing again, still not actually taking the garment off, I'm worried I won't be able to get it back on myself. Instead of a pain pill I took some Tylenol and that seems to be doing well for me.
My drainage isn't bad at all and as far as pain goes getting up and down is the worst. When I'm laying it bed with ice packs I'm fine but getting up and laying back down is rough. Sitting on the couch or in a chair is also not very comfortable and I think that is because of the compression garment. I went for a short walk this morning and that actually made me feel better, walking is ok. Oh bending over or bending down to pick something up eeewwww it's not fun.
I have very little swelling but the nurse said swelling doesn't really kick in till the 3rd day. I'm ready though, I have my ice packs and Advil so hopefully I will be able to keep the swelling to a minimum.
I go back to work Monday and if things keep going like they have been I feel like I will be good to go. I don't think this is something you could have done on your lunch break then go back to work. I'm on my feet most of the day at work and I honestly think that will be easier than having to sit at a desk all day.
In conclusion, I already can see a difference. That may be because I don't have much swelling I'm not sure, but thus far I am happy with the results. If I continue to improve and I've already maxed out on my pain then this procedure is something I would definitely do again. I would like to go back next year and have my bra roll and arms done if I can afford it so we'll see.
I will continue to update if anything changes and I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have. I just wanted women who aren't a size 4 or 6 or 2 or whatever to know that this can work for them as well.
Ok that's it, thanks for reading!!!

Provider Review
Dr. David T. Conner
I didn't really deal with the DR much but the two nurses were amazing. They were encouraging and let me squeeze their little hands to death. Dr. Conner was polite and to the point but not overly talkative. Of course he is a DR and he is there to do a job not make friends so I would probably be the same way.
